Hard Knocks, It has come to my attention that lately there are a few things that we need to be aware of as a group. During games that are streamed, I have noticed a few things that I do not consider "HK" football. We all need to be held accountable for what we do in the game, and I can humbly admit that I have done some of these same things. I am also going to reiterate some of the rules that we already have in place. I consider HK the best league on the web, and it is a privilege to be in a league with you all. Things we need to start looking at: - DISRESPECTING OTHER MEMBERS Running up the score Showing no sportsmanship in the game Not saying GG (it's rude not to, no matter how pissed you might be) - Chat etiquette Back handed remarks Blasting another opponent in chat - Not mixing up your playcalling not being somewhat balanced on offense focusing on the plays that would be considered "money" plays not mixing up your blitzing, zone cov, man cov, man press, etc. - Gameplay issues A quarterback should not have an outlandish amount of rushing attempts. (Throw the ball away if you get in a bind) Read Option should not be overused. I would hate to create a limit on plays going forward. HB Screens are another play that shouldn't be abused. There should be no reason to call a HB Screen on the goaline. Bouncing your running plays. Let's be honest, this is kind of an issue we all need to deal with. In the NFL, the highest YPC for a HB with over 50 attempts was 5.5 ypc. In HK there are a ton of backs over 5.5 YPC. Moving multiple defenders pre snap. Remember ONCE you move a player that is who you are suppose to be user during the play. Adjustments are still ok. 4th downs. We need to remember that WE need to only go for it on 4th downs in realistic situations. quick snapping your opponent. IF you audible, you need to allow your opponent the opportunity to adjust. If you see the defense moving to get into position, before you snap the ball. Also, going forward EVERY GAME WILL NEED TO BE STREAMED. Most already are, but a few aren't. If an owner is playing the CPU in any way (Regular or simming a win) and the game is not streamed, the owner will be subjected to a 1 week suspension. Thanks for you time, Bob

Read, understood, and agree with pretty much everything on here. Do we need to put 4th down rules down in writing? What some guys consider realistic (teams in the nfl will go for it on 4th down if they are in "no mans land" (too far for FG to close to gain anything from punt unless it's downed inside 5) isn't deemed as standard play in most sim online leagues. It's not a big issue in the league (I haven't run into it) but I've seen situations where this is an issue.
I think this has gone from set rules that we were used to in previous releases...to more of a gentlemans rule that just needs to be reiterated every now and then
Read and agreed. Only thing BobJr I've noticed in a couple games that when streaming we had some serious lag that seemed to stop when we ceased streaming, I'm assuming in this instance its ok?
I would try to put the stream quality to low in this case just to see whether the lag continues. It might help with the lag and still stream the games
That is true for some of the core guys, but the newer guys( no offense to them) ...do not understand these unspoken rules
Which is why Bob and I thought this a good post to have. Some of the vets needed a bit of a refresher as well
Agreed. Plus if your in that situation where it's 4th ans 1 and your looking at a 55 yard fg. Judtv a quick message saying I'm going goes a long way.
To continue this...if you're going for it and the opponent lines up in Punt Return or FG Block...make sure time is allowed to let them adjust, call a TO...anything. Quick snapping is an issue regardless, but allow for more time if applicable. But again, the 4th down agreement hasn't been the biggest issue for me so far. I also dont want the "minute" amount of focus on the 4th down point to bring issues regarding 4th downs. Continue to make the right decision.
