crack another beer open..
I've been practicing this course quite a bit - more so than Augusta thats for sure - the more I play the worse I get. I shot like a -8 or -9 my second time playing but haven't shot anywhere near that since.
I just want my golfer to hit the damn ball straight when I swing straight - why is that so difficult sometimes!
3 words: Random Landing Circle
By down you mean scores in the 50s right?! This course is ultra easy, especially the super flat greens
I wouldn't say random....My shot consistently heads straight for the 10-15% of the circle that's in the rough (or bunker)... My FIR stat is at "worst case scenario"
Keller 64 -8
Huskie 70 -2
Del 70 -2
Wind was definitely a factor.
Hova: 68 -4
AJTev: 68 -4
Holy wind, not scoring conditions. I'm sure someone will pull off a great round but not the typr of conditions you like to see with easy pins.
Tons of wind, good luck keeping it i the fairway. Keller shot a nice round though, nice job on that.
Yeah I know, just really frustrating at times.
I got lucky honestly. I eagled 9&10 with some just phenomenal approach shots to get some momentum. I played a pretty pedestrian 11-15, leaving a lot of shots short because of the damned wind. Then I left my tee shot on 16 in the rough but used a brand new club to my bag, the LW, to pitch in for bird. Played a great approach shot on 17 for an easy bird. Got into a lot of trouble on 18, in the rough off the tee then again to the rough on 2nd shot. 3rd shot wasn't any good and left myself with a 40 some footer but I burned up my focus and just got lucky to drain the birdie putt.
Major props to @DelZaster for the heads up on sticking the LW in my bag before the round. I hit probably 5 or 6 shots with it during the round and all were top notch. Love that club.
I thought my putting was bad. I didn't make a single putt outside of 10 feet all day on what are some ridiculously easy greens. Luckily my ball striking was decent or it could've closed my chances on this tournament.
uncleho 79 (+7)
JohnnyClutch 69 (-3)
SatansAngel 64 (-8)
I think I should have practiced more with these green settings lol. I struggled a little bit with them even with how easy they are. This is the first round I've played outside of Road to the Masters though, so I expect to improve over the next couple of rounds. That wind kicked my ass too... Only 6 GIR makes it tough to shoot under par.
Recchem2000 - 69 (-3)
Cheez - 71 (-1)
gowazzucougs - 79 (+7)
JFace907 - 76 (+4)

My round (to be officially posted by Recchem shortly)
1 Double Eagle (#9)
1 Double Bogey (#5)
Captured up to here, round one is complete for the 360.
damn no one was there to play with me, yesterday... :/
I don't see your name on the time sheet brah.
People should be putting their name in a time slot regardless of whether or not there is a flight captain assigned, or anyone else. That way the other flight captains will know when people are looking to play if they're around to help get rounds in. This could also lead to new flight captains.
I don't need my name on the stinkin time sheet *sarcasm* and it is bruh!
anyways I am a late nighter and this week I don't know when I can really go anyways, plus I help run this I just need to grab someone that can report my score!
Damn man - eliminate those bogeys and you're looking at a hell of a round. I almost double eagled either 9 or 10 as well, I think I left it less than a ft from the cup.
@firetirepanda1 - care to discuss your round a bit? -10 is a blistering score with those wind conditions yesterday. I consider myself extremely lucky to be sitting 2 shots off the lead - I had 3 or 4 shots that dropped for me just from dumb luck it seemed.
Separate names with a comma.
