I have a standard old everyday xbox 360 controller...the white one you get with the console. I cant' get the xbox 360 brand headsets to work with this controller unless I keep the prong that goes into the controller pushed in...like it's not connecting all the way into the controller for some reason.

My cheap ass, really uncomfortable mad catz (or whatever brand it is) headset works just fine.

I've tried like 4 of the xbox brand headsets and they all do the same thing.

I took them both and tried to use them with one of the cheap gamestop controllers and the same thing happens.

Anyone ever have this problem? It's driving me nuts.

or a turtle beach headset [IMG] ...I like mine except for it's tough to hear people in your chat, even with the settings so it mutes your game when someone talks but some of the stuff you hear that you've never noticed is nice

I got the Turtle Beach headset that has a separate volume control for chat and game. It's pretty awesome.
