    Heisman Alert

Houston's Bryce Beall making a last ditch effort to win the Heisman as his second consecutive 200 yd plus rushing game puts him in the running.

Beall's numbers compared to HB Stepfan Taylor of Stanford(currently #2 in Heisman Race but only other HB)

Taylor 277 attempts for 1681 yds and 21 TD's. Avg 6.1 per carry
Beall 288 attempts for 1742 yds and 24 TD's. Avg 6.0 per carry

    Taylor 13 receptions 171 yds 1 TD
    Beall 26 receptions 299 yds 4 TD's

    Taylor 0 fumbles
    Beall 3 fumbles

Heisman Race leader is QB Terrence Cain he has 3173 yds passing, 25 TD's and 7 Int's. Also has 552 yds rushing and 6 TD's on the ground.

Its all up to the voters so will see how it goes.

Doesn't matter when his team will be playing in the "Pepsi/Coke Challenge in Front of Starbucks On 96th and Green Street" Bowl, lol. Yeah, I'm hating.

Rice witnessed the impact of Beall first hand. Alot of credit goes to the cougars blocking, opening nice holes for the star HB. When Beall did make contact with an Owl, it was not pretty. Beall surely had many handprints from the Owl defenders, but very few grass stains.

I think he had 125 and 2 or 3 TD's against the Mustangs. kept him bottled up on most carries but it was one of those 1, 1, 2, 0, 60, 1, 3, 0,1, 35, type of games for him.

Yeah I've kept him to his second lowest output of the season: 17 carries 100yds 1TD Longest rush of 28 yards.

I wonder if that will ever happen? The Heisman trophy winner NOT playing in a BCS Bowl game. Beal may be an endangered kind, lol.
