Heisman Update Week 13 Once again, we are getting down to the wire and these guys are putting up incredible numbers.....here's this week's nominees... HB Evan Royster On the season Royster has gained 1,434 yards on the ground and scored 21 rushing touchdowns. Evan moves back into the top spot after a second half of gaining tons of yards. I wonder what he would have gained if the coach didn't run into time constraints. QB Christian Ponder The Texas bred QB has thrown for 3,414 yards and 32 touchdowns. Great season for a guy that was a huge question mark coming into the season. Ponder's play has helped Coach Jimbo Fisher ease the fan transition from a legend coach. HB DeMarco Murray Murray has stayed relatively injury free this season, after three years of constant knee and ankle problems. With 1,087 yards on the season and 21 touchdowns ,Murray has led the Oklahoma Sooners to a number 2 ranking in the BCS. Boomer Sooner right? QB Taylor Potts Mike Leach who? Potts has thrived in the Tuberville offense, and the Red Raiders haven't missed a beat. This Raider has thrown for 4,478 yards and scored an incredible 42 touchdowns. Why is he not number 1 on this list? Voters help out this Texas Tech player. QB Greg McElroy Alabama is ranked fourth in the polls and McElroy would probably the number one player on this board if not for the one loss. Greg has thrown 32 touchdown passes and the yardage numbers on are pace for school records. With the one back system McElroy has amassed 3,381 yards. Mark Ingram move over for this young star. On a side note, all three quarterbacks are from the state of Texas...errr..state of Football.
