    Heisman Watch Week 7

Sorry for the delay guys, but without further adieu..

    Heisman Watch

Looks like a new number one this week. And some fresh faces too.

    Oregon HB L.James

Pounding his way to the top of the board, James has amassed over 1000 yards this season. With the Ducks losing there last game I wouldn't be surprised if the voters decided to turn a bit on James. I mean he did gain over 500 yards in the first two weeks alone. But nonetheless, with coach NRG calling the plays look for LaMichael to continue to get LOTS of looks the rest of the year. The Quack Attack could be coming to a city near you one of these days.

    Wisconsin HB John Clay

John has fallen to number two this week, just because of the dynamic abilities of LaMichael. But, don't discount this young man in anything he does on the football field. With nearly 1000 yards this season, Clay is on pace to break his pace to do much better than last year. The Badger are poised to make a run a the BCS title game, and they won't be able to do it without this great back. His vision alone is better than most of your Division 1 runners.

    Florida State QB EJ Manuel

At the beginning of the 2011 season, FSU alumni were worried about the direction of the football team behind EJ. But the last two weeks, EJ has come on throwing for over 700 yards and scoring 10 TDs. By far one of the best two game spans ever, can Manuel continue his dominance in the ACC? Manuel has 2,150 yards on the season, which I believe leads the nation in passing.

    Alabama WR Julio Jones

In his senior season, Jones has already caught more touchdowns than last year. This is without his bus driving QB Greg McElroy. In last week's victory Jones caught 6 passes for 150 yards and 2 Tds. What a way to put your name on the list. Time will only tell if Julio can keep the pace up in the dreadful SEC.

    Ole Miss QB Nathan Stanley
Finally wrapping up the top 5 in the Heisman race is none other than Nathan Stanley. This Ole Miss QB has been the best thing at Ole Miss since slice bread. With his 5 touchdown performance last week, Stanley started to inch his way up the rankings. Let the whispers begin for this Rebel...

Perhaps James set the bar a little bit too high after the first two games...lol.

He has had a lot of trouble finding open holes the last few weeks, but this just goes to show that this Oregon team isn't as good as most would believe. Teams are straight up stacking the line forcing Darron Thomas to throw the ball...unfortunately his aim has been poor to say the least. LaMichael is going to be fighting uphill all season unless the passing game improves dramatically:(

Jeez, Clay has 1 game without a TD and drops. Minnesota just shut him outta the end zone as well, he'll probably drop off the board.
