In my conference championship game I'll be playing a guy that uses pretty much nothing but press man coverage all game. Any tips on how to beat this besides the standard mesh stuff?

Motion your guy slightly, then snap the ball while he's moving, have that guy go deep (or whatever route)... usually he'll get off of the line untouched and since he's in press, he probably won't make up the ground.

Yup, would fall under TF general rule of mixing up your playcalling.

First off, I try to see what my opponent has. If I have a speedy WR against a slower type CB and they press, I will try them deep some times. If your WR can beat him off the press, he will get space of his man and you can throw over him. Also try some trip sets...There's a few plays you can have the slot run toward the sideline and up the field (i forget the name of that route ugh). Run some slants and see if your man can get off the press good. Last but not least, don't ALWAYS look downfield...use some screens, HB draws...anything to make him NOT press you as much.

Go through your depth chart and look for the column for press release. The higher the number the better that WR is at getting off the press coverage. Find out who that WR is and target him. Might help to place him in the slot if it makes it easier for you to read it. Also if you have time to sit in the pocket and don't get nervous try the corner routes. Corner routes will absolutely devastate press coverage if your WR can get off it. Hope this helps and let us know which of these strategies did work. Good luck in your game.

Research your opponent is the best thing you can do. I try to say what I do best, see how their team stacks up. If I like to run up the gut, I check the MLB/DT...if I'ma outside runner, I check the OLB's, DE's and how well they shed blocks.

If I like to pass, I check their secondary, etc.
