Help me adopt a team

  1. Help me adopt a team

So I always do my offline Dynasty with N.D. That's a given. It is hard to see a lot of teams here in Colorado and the games we do see are usually pac 10 teams. I try to watch the big dogs of the SEC and Big 10 when I can.

I need help picking a team to use for an offline dynasty and maybe online for some games. I want a team with history. I want a team with a huge following. I want a team that I can get behind and cheer for during the season. I want a team I can learn about. I will also download their music so I can get into the event. I would also like a stadium with history.

Some teams that crossed my mind are...

    Georgia
    Alabama
    Auburn
    Ohio State
    Iowa

No Big 12 teams since I see them all the time here.

Big 10 - SEC - ACC and possibly Pac 10.

    Thoughts?

Teams ruled out probably from my N.D blood...
    USC - Michigan - Purdue

A couple that have always intrigued me:

Georgia Tech - the Ramblin' Wreck, the rivalry with Georgia, the fleXbox One

Clemson - running down The Hill, Howard's Rock

Penn State - Joe Paterno, and they just seem like a team ripped from a classic era

  3. Comments above. Thanks Raz

You know what I'm going to say ...

The 'Shoe, dotting the I, Carmen Ohio, OSU-Michigan, my main man Archie Griffin (who's about the classiest guy you'll ever meet). It's all on my blog. You just gotta go with the Bucks. We have a lot of national bandwagon fans these days, but this is perhaps the best football town in the country. There's just nothing like it. Open your door, right now, and shout O-H ... I bet somebody answers :)

  5. I will read more into that blog. The Shoe is a big possibility because it reminds me of the old Mile High Stadium.

  6. I just remembered that one of the best Broncos EVER and the most shafted Bronco by the hall of fame went to THE Ohio State University.

    Randy Gradishar.

Singing that is the only appropriate time to use the proper name for That State Up North.

    Typically you will see:

The Ohio State University - tOSU.
Michigan University - tSUN (That School Up North).

Looking for a new team to root for and picking Ohio State is like picking USC, Florida or Notre Dame. Think outside the box, man!

Big 10 football is overrated. Want a real challenge? Go with one of the Washington schools.

Carmen Ohio - the last thing the guys do before they leave the field. Notice the fans still in their seats.

If you want to know the words, here's Buckeye Linebacker Cie Grant singing it at the National Championship celebration. That was a freakishly cold day.

One of our own dotting the I. No bigger honor around these parts. jack chokes up. That tells you something.

And one more just because I like it.

That's pretty much my case. I think it's a good one.

Yeah... I guess. You could do the same sort of thing for Notre Dame, which is his team already.

Go for a smaller school, Hitman.

  21. Clemson - Rich tradition and history, great stadium (one of the loudest in the South), some of the most dedicated fans in the nation, and not to mention arguably the best running back in the country CJ Spiller

Why not choose a team like UNC, Ole Miss or Tennessee if you are looking to build up a program already on the rise. Tennessee has a good tradition.

    Go Blue!!

UNC could be a fun choice.

  24. I was thinking this too but
#1 I would have to SIM the Colorado games. Can't play my hometown team.
#2 I am very familiar with the Big 12.
