I was just watching the news, looks like things are getting pretty bad out in Colorado. I'm just hoping that you're okay and safe, as well as your family and friends.

Thanx for the thoughts. The fire has been going for a while now and it's always been close enough that we often have to close the windows due to the smoke and if you park outside, ash will build up on your car. I'm not worried about it though since I live in town and there's a lot of farmland and asphalt between us and the fire.

Here's a picture a video I took a few days ago from my back yard.

Thats way too close for comfort. I was in Montana 7 or 8 years ago and got to see wildfires up close, very scary stuff. Are you in Colorado Springs? Good luck buddy.

Glad you are OK. The closed captioning was rather horrible though.

Guess I need to update my flash player to see the vid but assuming everything ends up ok for you man, from a person that enjoys taking landscape pictures, that pic is amazing. Seeing where the fire is and having the sun powering through the smoke, nice job.

& hope all is well for you
