Redskins D frustrates Seahawks in 38-0 Win

The Redskins continue to be on a roll as they win convincingly on the road in Seattle. The game began with RGIII leading the offense down the field to open the game with a touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon, his 5 TD reception of the season. Things would slow down a bit as Seattle couldin't get much going on offense. Early in the 2nd quarter Washington found themselves in scoring position again when Ben Tate would break through the line for a healthy gain before being rocked by Cam Chancellor and fumbling the ball. Seattle looked to capitalize on this turnover and had a really good drive, pushing the ball into the redzone. After being stopped short of a first down, the Seahawks decided to go for it on 4th and 1. Unfortunately for them, this gamble wouldn't pay off as they were stopped short. This play was only the beginning of the Seahawks redzone woes.

On the ensuing drive, RG3 captained the offense on a 95 yard drive highlighted by a TD reception by Fred Davis which made the score 14-0. Up to this point Seattle's rookie QB Wes Crane had a decent start and was helping the offense get back down the field to potentially score to close the 1st half. With 10 seconds left in the half, Crane tried to hit Sidney Rice on a corner route in the endzone but was intercepted by DeAngelo Hall. On the 2 yard line with 7 seconds left on the clock, the Redskins decided to just run the ball to finish off the clock. Ben Tate had the biggest lane to run through and went 98 yards untouched to the endzone to give the Redskins a 21-0 lead going into OT.

It continued to get worse for the Seahawks as Crane began to unravel. Seattle was having another successful drive when Crane was intercepted again in the redzone, this time by Ryan Kerrigan. On the subsequent drive RG3 threw an errant pass that was surely to be intercepted but Earl Thomas badly misplayed the ball in the air and Nate Washington would grab it and outrun the defense for what was officially a 92 yd TD pass. On Seattle's next drive Russell Wilson would come in for relief of Crane and throw an interception to Brian Orakpo. The Redskins would score again off a turnover as RGIII connected with Fred Davis for a second time pushing the lead to 35. Crane would come back in and was errant for the rest of the game, overthrowing several passes and the game ended with a final score of 38-0.

Tough game fuzzyl0gic. You had some good drives going and those missed redzone opportunities killed you. That play at the end of the half and the 92 yard TD pass was the epitome of the day for the Seahawks. Nothing went right on this one but I'm sure this is an anomaly. GL the rest of the season.

Haha, up to this point not really, his game vs the Giants started out bad but he usually comes through and puts it together in those cases. He's had a stellar start to the season, that's for sure.
