Rams Enter Camp with Key Questions that Need Answers:
1. Who will start at WR?
There is a log-jam at the position with 6 players all looking to grab a starting spot at the position. What is making it tough to separate the players at this moment is that each brings with them a trait that differentiates them from the group. Whether it is the blazing speed of Tavon Austin (96 speed/97 acc), the catching ability of Austin Pettis (leads Wrs with 85), Quick's ability to beat the press (87) and make catches he shouldn't (88 spec catch) or Kenny Britt's ability to win jump balls (91 jump/88 catch in traffic). Chris Givens has struggled early to find a place in this group but with his 96 speed, 94 acceleration and 94 agility the team is trying to find creative ways of getting him the ball in space. Look for all 6 to make the team and playing time to be determined with who can really impress the coaches in the coming weeks.
2. Who will start at C?
4 of the 5 spots on the offensive line seem to be set in stone with LT Jake Long, LG Greg Robinson, RG Rodger Saffold and RT Joe Barksdale marked in ink as week 1 starters. The Center position, currently held by Scott Wells, will see some competition as both Travis Bond and Barrett Jones will look to bring some youth to the position. The team has been unimpressed with Scott Wells' run blocking so far and might look at alternatives for the starting position.
