Redskins agree to terms.... 27 year old Zoltan Mesko replaces Aussie Veteran Punter Sav Rocca who was released after week 1. Coach Shanahan was quoted as saying that the move was based on the future of the ballclub, not for performance. Sav is 39 and has given us more than a few good years. We mutually felt that it was time for us to move on. There are two pending signings as well, Cornerback Chris Culliver. Chris will join D'Angelo Hall and Josh Wilson as the nickle corner for now, but may move to the outside should D-Hall have another poor performance, said Defensive Coordinator Jim Haslett. Chris played with the 49ers the last two years. He played ball for the 'Ole Ball Coach Steve Spurrier in South Carolina. He dropped to the third round, which was a head scratcher. This guy has 4.4 speed, can cover man, play zone, and has good size to deal with the likes of Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson. Culliver definitely is the future of the secondary. Former Jet/Cardinal Kerry Rhodes will be signing with the Skins to sure up the Free Safety spot. Rhodes' career has taken a turn for the worse when it was reported that he was the first gay to play in the NFL or at least be outed publicly. SMDH, this is news to Washington Executive staff as they researched their signee, it came to light. HC Mike Shanahan is gonna have to manage this and make sure that it doesn't become a distraction in the locker room. Several anonymous players were quoted as feeling some type of way about sharing the field with Rhodes, but for the good of the team, Rhodes will be offered a contract for one year. Rhodes was an All-Pro in 2006. He has 608 tackles, 13 sacks, 23 interceptions, and 8 forced fumbles on his resume'. In 2010 he led the NFC in Interception return yards. Hopefully he can help a secondary that has struggled to get turnovers, The Skins have yet to create one in two GAMES!!
Week 1 Recap GB blows by SF 41-26 Lynch runs for 193 and 3 TDs in hawks 31-28 win over panthers. Rams win one on a walk off FG as Cards offense struggles in first game.
Bengals come up big vs rival Steelers In a hard Fought game, the Bengals would come out on top thanks to a few big plays by Aj green and his Fellow players. It was a balanced offensive attack that the Bengals fielded against Pittsburgh. Andy Dalton was not a Manning or Brady in this game, Throwing 2 picks, but he was a facilitator. With Benard and Green-Ellis Splitting Carries to get 100 yards rushing it was just enough to get us over the hump. GG smace767 There was also this Next up Ryty !
Out with the Old in with the New The NY Giants after a rough outing on opening day in Dallas knew they had some holes to fill with some aging veterans on the roster and a patch work Offensive Line to go with an aging Defensive Line made some changes this week after new owner Rob Mass was furious at the team effort displayed in week 1. The message was sent loud and clear to Tom Coughlin and some new additions were made as well as some long time veterans being released. 31 year old CB Corey Webster was released today after a disappointing 2012 campaign where it seemed like he lost a step and was getting beat on a weekly basis. The Giants had decided to bring Corey back but with younger talent emerging on the roster and his 4M contract the Giants decided to go ahead and make the move now allowing 23 year old Jayron Hosley to take his spot opposite Prince Amukumara while giving Webster a chance to catch on elsewhere Brandon Myers was not the athletic TE the Giants were looking for when they lost out on resigning Martellus Bennett in the offseason. New management wanted to go in a different direction with someone more explosive like Adrien Robinson who was already on the roster so Myers got his walking papers In Brandon Myers place the Giants did go outside of the organization to bring in some depth at the TE position and they found that in former Viking Rhett Ellison. Ellison will help the Giants run game as he comes in as an established run blocker and can chip defenders while going out passing routes in certain formations. The Giants also added a vertical threat in former Raider David Ausberry giving the Giants some big time weapons at the TE spot. Could we see a New England type offense from the Gmen to go with Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks? Only time will tell The Giants then decided to bring in some help with the kicking game as they went after the strong kicking power and former Cowboy David Buehler. Buehler should be able to limit kickoff returns while also adding some longer FG's instead which will maximize scoring oppoutunites. Last but not least you knew we couldnt talk about the Gmen signing FA's and not mention a pass rusher on the defensive line. The Giants went out and added former Bronco Robert Ayers who should be able to jump right into the rotation with an aging Justin Tuck while also giving JPP a breather from time to time. The Giants look to get back to their old ways of getting after the QB and with guys like Michael Vick, and RG3 they need all the pass rushers they can get.
NFC East C'mon Son Stat of the Week The Washington Redskins had more turnovers (6) than 3rd Down Conversions (5) this week in their game versus the Green Bay Packers. The Packers beat the Redskins 28-7.

Adrian Peterson is no longer a Minnesota Viking as he has been traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. Today the Vikings made a shocking announcement as their all time greatest player was traded way to the other conference. The trade resembles the once famed Herschel Walker Trade, but not quite as steep. AP was sent to the Bengals in exchange for HB Giovanni Bernard 2014 1st RD Pick 2014 2nd RD Pick 2015 1st RD Pick
I think the biggest thing is AP probably would be traded over most superstars...just because minny sucks bad.
