Calvin Johnson had really good numbers also. However, Fitzgerald had almost 100 more catches.

What about Andre Johnson's 2.125 years under Knight

Fitz is probably a safe bet here. Imo the #2 would have to be Antwan Barksdale. He had some shit QBs in New England after Brady left and he still put up great numbers. He consistently made plays and I would venture to say he was the best "drafted" WR in the league.

The thing about Barksdale is that he had great numbers compared to the other top receivers but played 1 less season and had 2.5 seasons with no owner. I think the argument could be made that with that extra season and with an owner take advantage of his skills, then it would be very close between him, Fitz, and Calvin.

I forgot about Barks. He is by far the best drafted wr we had in HK. When he came out, many people (I.e. me) thought he was too small.....I guess he proved them wrong.

While I agree about the owner statement, the stats on XFN dont include the 2011 season so you're looking at the same amount of time for each in terms of raw stats.

This guy kept me coming back to the sticks when I struggled most of the release. Him and Michael Floyd next year . . .

As a guy that played against Fitz on a frequent basis, I am in total agreement. I know the user has to be taken into account, and diddy had the stick skills. But I have played against others who you know it is all about the sticks. With Fitz, I felt like if was part diddy and part Fitz. Diddy didn't over do it with Fitz, but when he needed a first down, you knew where he was going. And you could try to stop it, and 2 out of 10 you might.

No brainer on this one. Congrats to to Fitz (and Diddy)!
