Hard Knocks : Game of the Week
    Week 1
    Denver Broncos v Pittsburgh Steelers
Everyone has their crosshairs on the defending Hard Knocks Bowl Champion Steelers and their championship hangover does not start out easy. Pittsburgh will commemorate their 7th Lombardi Trophy at Heinz Field by welcoming the Denver Broncos.

Denver is coming off an embarrassing performance in the playoffs last season, a 37-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and will be looking to get back to their winning tradition. In a potentially ominous move for quarterback Brock Osweiler and the rest of the AFC West, Denver snatched rookie signal caller BJ Cole out of Syracuse in the 1st Round of the Draft. It seems that the organization has found their mobile playmaker and will add a new dimension to their offense. The Denver offense is poised to again be a high scoring, tough to stop machine with so many ways to hurt opposing defenses. Look for Denver to utilize their elite WR tandem of Thomas and Sanders, as well as breakout TE Jost Terrell.

If there is one thing the Steelers proved on their championship run, it was that they can play defense. Their defense gets a very difficult test to show whether or not they will return to their tough to crack ways. Unfortunately for Denver and the rest of the league, Pittsburgh may have gotten much stronger, specifically along the defensive line. They added DT Nick Fairley in a trade with the newly acquired and newly located Los Angeles Rams. Fairley, along with Cameron Heyward and Fletcher Cox are setup to be one of the most dominant defensive lines in the league.

It is no secret to everyone that the Pittsburgh organization is proud of their recent addition to the trophy case, as they have flashed their new jewelry fairly boisterously to the league. Denver comes to the Steel City to knock them off their high horse and prove to the league that their blowout loss to the Titans was a fluke. Look for Denver to end the Steelers celebrations and take care of business, 45-35. (I may be biased)
