Seahawks CB Brandon Browner picks up his first pick of 2 in the fourth quarter of their comeback win over the Panthers
What a tough battle. It was back and forth all game and down 10 in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks forced Cam to make some poor mistakes, including 2 interceptions to CB Brandon Browner. Marshawn Lynch would be the offensive star for the Seahawks as he rushed for nearly 200 yards, with 2 huge run plays and TD's.
Despite 2 TDs, AP Fumbles away the game late.
Adrian Peterson had a great day leading up to the final drive for the Vikings. With the score 27-21 Detroit, the Vikings were driving when AP was blindsided. The hit would force a fumble and lead to his injury. Peterson would end the day with 1 rush TD and 1 rec TD.
MIAMI PHIN-ISHES STRONG IN 23-10 VICTORY IN CLEVELAND
This was a defensive battle from the beginning. Both teams tried their best to run the ball, without much success. Miami decided to kick things up a notch and landed on a few very "lucky" deep balls to Rishard Mathews and Mike Wallace. Tannehill matched his impressive arm strength with an equally exciting display with his feet, running a read-option 44 yards for a touchdown in the 2nd quarter to put Miami up 17-3.
Cleveland's defense was stout, but the offense struggled to find any rhythm. Quarterback Brian Hoyer struggled throwing the ball over 10-yards, and was pressured a lot by the aggressive Miami front 4. He ended up throwing 2 picks in the redzone (3 interceptions total) and fumbled the ball on Clevelands last possession when victory was still a possibility for the Browns. After this week, most reports indicate Cleveland is heavily pursuing a veteran quarterback anywhere they can find one to replace Hoyer. Brandon Weeden was also released heading into week 1, so it will be very interesting to see who Cleveland targets to be their quarterback moving forward, whether through free agency or trade.
In the end, the supreme athletic ability that made Ryan Tannehill Miami's first round selection in the 2012 draft was the difference. He made a few mistakes (a horrible interception before halftime that set Cleveland up close to mid-field with time still on the clock), but made plays when they were needed. Look for things to run smoother as the season progresses, but this was a solid start for a Miami club who are coming into the season with quite optimism on their chances in the AFC East.
Always a pleasure Ryty , always feels lucky when I scrap together a win against you. GL rest of season.

In a game where the two rookie Qb's combined for 7 turnovers the Bucs came out victorious after they took a Geno Smith fumble back for a TD in overtime.
GOULD LIFTS BEARS OVER BENGALS AS TIME EXPIRES, 23-20
Gould hit a 44-yard FG as time expired to give the Bears the climatic season-opening win.
THE STORY OF THE GAME:
- Both teams struggled to run the ball. Forte averaged 3.7 ypc, but hit a crucial 40+ yard run in the 4th.
- 'Good' Cutler and 'Bad' Cutler both made an appearance today. He threw 2 picks, but also threw 2 TDs and got a 20 yard rush late in the game to put his team in FG range, which led to the victory.
- The Bears secondary struggled to contain AJ Green. AJ really stopped himself here though - he had 5 drops on the day.
- Henry Melton had 2 sacks and set the pace for the Bears pass rush.
- Dalton threw a pick to Zach Bowman late in the 4th when the game was tied 20-20. The Bears got the ball at about the 40 yard line, and went on to drive to the FG win.
GG DC - that was a classic.
Skins Defense Grounds the High Flying Eagles in the MNF Home Opener
Yea, they gets it in...
The Butler serves up his first and only score of the day...
Rak with one of his 3 sacks on the day.
FedEx Field | Landover, MD | The Redskins opened the season vs the new look Eagles. New Owner, New Coach, New starting QB for Philly. Skins coming off a good season led by the sensational RG3 and hard running Alfred "The Butler" Morris. Talk around the league was that Philly would mop the floor with the Skins. The fast paced offense of Chip Kelly would be too much they said. Well, It didn't go that way in game 1, although I'm sure game two will be a little different. Foles got the start and didn't look great causing Chip to bring in Vick after one series. Skins were able to move the ball at a decent pace due primarily to the threat of RG3 out of the pistol. defense won the game for Washington. The secondary stepped up to the plate and contained the 4-5 Wide looks that they were shown. Skins stayed in a dime for most of the game and mixed in a few blitzes, but were really able to get after the qb based off of coverage in the secondary. Orakpo, playing in a contract year, had one of his best games as Redskin, sacking the QB 3 times. Redskins had a total of 6 on the day. Contrarily, the Eagles didn't get to RG3 at all, thanks to the Pistol Read Option scheme and good o-line play. Philly has a bit of controversy it seems, as they have two legit QB's who could start for any team. Once Chip and crew find their rhythm, I can see them doing big things. Shady is beast, and was probably underused, but the Skins were happy that they didn't get a huge dose, could of been problematic and maybe a different story on the scoreboard. Final score was 17 - 3 Washington. GG JerzeyReign see you game 2 bruh.

Eagles Fumble Game Away In OT, Lose To Chargers
TEBOW STRUGGLES, BEARS WIN 27-7
MLB D.J. Williams picked off Tebow twice, Bears roll to 2-0
The Story of the Game:
- Tebow completed less than 50% of his passes and was picked off 3 times.
- AP was held to under 4 ypc
- Linebackers stepped up in coverage - Williams 2 INTs, Briggs had 1 INT
- Bears rookie Cornelius Washington registered a sack for the 2nd straight game.
GG BobJr - tough luck this time. I'm sure the one in Minny will be different.
GreenBay sends The Redskins packing back to Washington with a nice fat L, Rodgers and Lacy show OUT!
Cobb with a walk in TD score after beating D-Hall on a cross route...
Lambeau Field | Green Bay, WI | Green Bay demolished the Redskins at Lambaeu. Their defense was on 1000, Rodgers was on 1000, and Lacy was running the rock on 1000! The game was decided early in the 1st really, when it became apparent that the Skins couldn't stop the Offense of the Packers. RG3 was rattled all day, and couldn't keep his composure long enough to make the right reads consistently or even progress past his primary option. The Butler wasn't given the rock enough, which put Griffin in some situations where he had to chuck the ball down field, resulting in several picks. It's early in the season, but the Skins have already made a fundamental philosophy change on offense, RUN THE DAMN BALL. Leaving the game up to RG3 to pass is not a good look for the squad. The Defense has got to get pressure on the QB. Six sacks last week, but only two this week. The defense couldn't create turnovers either. Griffin threw 6 PICKS however, that right...SIX! Only positive is that the defense shut the Packers out second half, so we will build on that going into week 3. Skins record stands at 1-1 while Green Bay moves to 2-0.
Lacy hurdles Washington defenders after numerous missed tackles. Finished with 105 yards on the ground...Offense

Dolphin Defense Shines in 31-3 Win
Andrew Luck threw interceptions on each of his first 2 throws of the ballgame, setting up the Miami offense nicely. The Dolphins committed to the run game early, and it paid dividends a week after struggling to get anything going on the road vs Cleveland. This really wasn't a contest from the get-go, but because of how much respect Miami had for Indy, the kept it very conservative to make sure they snuck out with the W. The run game was key to kill the clock, but it proved deadly. Lamar Miller had a huge gaming, rushing for 136 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Luck's early game struggles didn't end in the first quarter. He finished with 5 interceptions on the day and didn't reach the 100 yard mark on passing yards. A big reason for that was the defensive line for Miami, more specifically rookie Dion Jordan and Cameron Wake. Jordan finished with 3 sacks and a forced fumble, his second forced fumble in 2 games. Wake brought 2 sacks of his own to the party. The pass rush, combined with an early deficit and a bad offensive line, spelled disaster for the Colts. Dolphins CB Brent Grimes also set a team record with 3 interceptions on the day, locking down Reggie Wayne all 4 quarters.
Still, Miami seemed thankful to come out of the game with a win.
"There was never a doubt that Indianapolis could have came back against us early in that ballgame," said Coach Philbin after the game to the media, adding "We had such a big lead early we really had to tighten down on offense and just limit turnovers. That team is very capable of coming back from that rough start, so we are just happy to have made sure that didn't happen. This was a solid victory for us against a well-coached ball club."
GG uagrad90 , glad I caught you this early in the season. Good luck rest of your season, bud.
Patriots Impressive In Win Over Jets, 41-20
Tom Brady would not be outdone by a rookie in back to back games to start the season. After throwing 2 interceptions and 0 touchdowns, Brady bounces back by tossing 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. The Patriots added some pieces after their week 1 setback loss to the Buffalo Bills. Bringing in veteran TE Visanthe Shiancoe helped fill a void left by the incarcerated Aaron Hernandez. Then, the return of Randy Moss had people on the fence. However, no deep threat besides Gronkowski made this offense very predictable. Insert Moss and Shiancoe, now you have more than enough weapons to compete. We did just that. The other key was to bring some balance to the offense. Getting Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen more involved with the offense.
Ridley barely missed the century mark as he finished with 97 yards on 19 carries while Vereen added 53 yards on 6 carries. Rob Gronkowski did his damage with 2 catches for 81 yards and 2 TD. Randy Moss hauled in only 1 reception but it was a huge 39 yard bomb for a TD as seen in the picture above which reminded people of his younger days. The newly acquired Shiancoe grabbed 2 balls for 25 yards. Defensively, we got after the Jets. Despite giving up over 190 yards of rushing to Mike Goodson, we buckled down and played some ferocious D. Alfonzo Dennard returned an interception for a touchdown and Kyle Arrington added another interception to Geno Smith's young career. The veteran Adrian Wilson delivered a vicious blow that forced a fumble which resulted in the Patriots having great field position. The pick six and forced fumble really swung things in favor of the Patriots as they built a huge lead that would never be tampered with.
A Rookie Affair: Rookies help the Bills beat the Panthers, 23-17
Marquise Goodwin 38 yard TD
E.J. Manuel's early rookie campaign has been better than most fans hoped. He has thrown for at-least 225 yards, 2 touchdowns and completed over 70% of his passes in two games. The passing game has really shadowed the terrible running game of the Buffalo Bills. C.J. Spiller has ran for a measly 70 yards in two games and turned the ball over twice. The surprise of the team maybe how well the rookies have played. Next Week the E. J. Manuel and Buffalo Bills take on Geno Smith and the JETS.

Offense Continues To Struggle, Eagles Lean On Defense For Win
Cards Get First W In The Big Easy
This game was decided mostly by turnovers something Arizona has not been getting much of all season. A big punt was made which gave the Saints the ball at the one yard line. On the 3rd play of the drive Sproles would fumble the ball and the Cards would start their drive on the Saints 3. On 4th and inches Andre Ellington would punch it in to put the Cards on top. The game would pick up with 1 minute left till the half as Brees would find Jimmy Graham deep down the field for a TD to tie it up with 7 seconds left till half. The Saints decided to kick it off to Patrick Peterson and he decided to take it all the way to the house. The Saints and Cards would dual back and forth till the Cards delivered the knockout blow as Jerraud Powers would pickoff Brees at midfield. Arizona would then take it down the field and the drive would be capped off with another short Ellington run.

Play Of The Game
Bears Stop Lions 4th Quarter Surge, Win 13-10
Matt Forte led the Bears offense in Detroit. He gathered 89 yards rushing and this goal-line TD run.
Stafford was hurt for much of the 2nd and 3rd quarter of this game after Henry Melton brought him down hard on a sack. Shaun Hill stepped in for him and did a solid job, but was unable to orchestrate much offense in #9's absence. Stafford would return in the 4th quarter and almost brought the Lions back on a couple of game-tying drives, but kicker Lawrence Tynes missed on 2 50+ yard FG attempts late in the 4th, and the Bears were able to hold on despite the Detroit's 4th quarter surge.
The Bears did a good job of containing Calvin Johnson (although he would grab a TD pass) and totally shut down the Lions run game. The Bears also struggled to run the ball, but Forte was able to manage 3.4 YPC and that was enough for the Bears in this one.
Big Ben has played his last game for the Steelers.
He has done great things for the organization but madden ratings and trait wise he is killin the team. He throws a wobble ball that wrs have a hard time holding on to. Landry Jones has a strong arm and throws nice tight spirals and that should and will result in less drops. Landry can begin the XP process starting next week.
Whats up with that trade tho?
i aint cuttin him. dude has a crazy cap number. for that big a penalty i will hold on to him as my number two. unless "i get an offer i cant refuse"- Mafia Godfather voice.
is jones really that much better than ben, or is this more due to salary reasons (which is understandable lol)
pitt4life21 loved Landry
