The repetition never gets old, as the Hokies once again win the ACC and will be making a return trip to the Orange Bowl to potentially face arch rival West Virginia. For the 2nd straight year, the ACC title game saw the Hokies take on the Florida State Seminoles. The Hokie defense came up strong as they forced 3 interceptions to go along with 6 sacks, 4 of which coming from Potential All American Antonie Hopkins. The defense held the Noles to under 100 yards rushing and 4 of 13 on 3rd down. Offensively, David Wilson made his case for heisman consideration, racking up 212 yards on 21 carries for 4 touhdowns, adding 32 yards through the air. This was a familiar sight for the Noles, as Wilson had a combined 452 yards and 8 tds in the two match ups this season. The strong FSU defense forced the hokies to stick to the run game, as Logan Thomas went 5-11 for 105 yards 1 td and 1 int. The Hokies typical top10 defense are looking forward to a rematch with WVU, beating them 10-3 in the first matchup of the season and look to continue holding the Black Diamond Trophy.
