I'll be in a hotel Momday night, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night.

Do I need to buy anything I'm order to hook up my 360 in a hotel and connect with Internet?

I remember someone did it last year, but I can't remember how.

    How do you do it?

    Depends on the hotel.

Some hotels you may be screwed. Some reasonable hotels will have a hook up where you can plug it into. Some you may need to go directly to the TV. Some crappier hotels don't give you the option though. Ive stayed in hotels where the TV simply has the old school cable wire and no ports for the Red/Yellow/White cable.

What kind of hotel are you staying at?

I think I have proven that the word techy should not be used to describe me in any way shape or form.

    haha I could tell...

theSANDMAN215 I would call the hotel and ask what tvs and connections they have. To be safe, I wouldnt plan on the TVs having an hdmi connection. Though I would bring all of your cables, especially the composite r,w,y. But remember to switch your xbox to non Hd mode or it wont work.

Internet can potentially be a bitch there as well. If they heavily firewall the internet or dont allow the MAC address of the system, you are going to have a very hard time connecting or getting a good connection to live.

    No idea yet.

I'm going to take both hdmi and r/y/w cords.

I read somewhere that I could basically use my laptop as a bridge and connect through that.

Yes that does work Sanders. Last year I went with my wife to MD & I used her laptop to connect to XBOX Live(As the laptop was using the hotel WiFi)

How would that work? Would I set up my 360 as an Alternate MAC Address and use the one my laptop is using?

I just had ethernet wire, hooked one end into the laptop & the other end into the 360. Didn't have to do anything after that.

Seems easy enough. So basically, you had wireless from your laptop that you connected from the hotel. Then, you connected an ethernet wire from your laptop to your 360?

True. So the Internet doesn't seem to be a problem, the problem seems to be the TV connection.

If I brought a small TV, wouldn't that work? I wouldn't need to worry about anything on the hotel's television.

Then, I'd have a TV and Internet, so I could get my games completed.

I'm still going to call the hotel and ask if they have the capability to hook up a 360 to their TV.

The problem I had last year was that even though I was able to connect the xbox to the tv, they had the tvs locked down where you couldn't change the video display. It was total bullshit.

Your best bet is to just bring all your shit - including your TV. That way all you're relying on them for is an internet connection - even so they may have it so locked down that it may not work.

Good luck man, best to bring your own tv and internet connection. I did this a lot 2 years ago when I traveled in the spring for college baseball road trips. There were only a few places that I could get a decent internet connection to even let me connect to the dashboard and some hotels that had the digs with LCD tvs. later in the year i debated on still taking it, which of course i did cause I always gave hope lol
