The Texans would get their first division win of the disappointing season on the road today in Tennessee. The win brings Houston to 4-7 on the year. Both teams would start out cold in the first half, neither being able to score until late in the 2nd quarter when Peyton Manning would toss his 1st of 3 TDs on the day to rookie DeMatrae Magee. The Titans would answer back on 1 screen play to Latavius Murray for over 80 yads. The Texans would answer right back in one play as Manning would hit DeAndre Hopkins for a minimal gains and he would elude tacklers for another 80 plus yard score. The Texans were up 14-7 at the half. Both teams again would fail to score early in the second half and it wasnt until the 4th quarter when Tennessee would tie the game at 14 on a short Craig Stevens TD run. It was clear that the game would go down to whoever had the ball last. The Texans found themselves driving inside out 2 minutes and facing what would be a 51 yard field goal. Instead of running the ball into the goalline defense, Manning would drop back and hit an uncovered Magee who would get his 2nd TD of the day in proved to be the game winner 21-14.
