Playing for nothing but pride in this final game of the season, Houston would enjoy the short plane ride back after defeating Tennessee 23-21 on a last minute field goal. The win evens out the Texans record at 8-8 in what would be considered a disappointing season. The 0-5 hole that they started with was just to deep to climb out of, but some hope could be seen as they would get a 8-3 record the rest of the way.

It was a hard hitting day on the field today, as both teams wanted to finish the season on a winning note. The Titans would strike first and take the opening drive all the way down and get the short TD by FB Craig Stevens. The Texans would answer back but could only drive far enough to get a field goal. The Texans however would get a gift later in the second quarter as Jake Locker would get hit on the option play and fumble the ball right into LB Joe Mays hands deep in their own territory. This would lead to a short drive capped off by an Arian Foster TD run. 10-7 would be the score at the halftime break with the Texans clinging to the 3 point lead.

Houston could only manage to get a field goal early in the 3rd quarter to make the lead 13-7. The Titans would score the go ahead TD in the 3rd quarter on a long Jake Locker option keeper for the 14-13 lead. Neither team would score again until late in the 4th quarter, when Matt Scaub would lead his team down and score on the TD pass to rookie WR DeAndre Hopkins from 26 yards out, putting the visitors up 20-14 with just under 3 minutes in the game. The Titans would quickly retake the lead on a big 49 yard pass play to WR Kenny Britt who out-jumped 2 Texan defenders for the catch at the 1 yard line and easy walk in score. With Houston now down 21-20 and nearing the 2 minute warning, KR Deji Karim would make a great kickoff return down to the opposing 48 yard line. From there, Houston would drive into field goal range and David Buehler would hit the game winner with 15 seconds on the clock. After 2 hail mary attempts fell incomplete, Houston would come away with the road win 23-21. GG ThaBayouChef
