Offense Houston prefers to throw the ball Andre Johnson is the primary target, but the #2 receiver and TE will also get looks If nothing is open will hit check down In the running game, keep contain and do not overpursue Defense Does not blitz much Prefers to keep everything in front Defense is fast to the ball, but can be beat with occasional misdirection
Offense: Will try to establish Foster early on with some off tackle runs. The O line is very strong in both run and pass blocking, so if you send a blitz, expect it to take a while to get there. Andre Johnson is the main target in the pass game. He will throw to him even if double or triple covered. Secondary options are TEs off play-action. Will rarely throw to 2nd and 3rd WRs. Defense: Stout run defense. Played a 4-4 early on, but seems to pick his defense before you pick your offensive set in some instances. Was able to run a bit in the 2nd half after loosening his coverage. Controls the middle backer, or DB in pass coverage on deep passes. Didn't send many blitzes, depends on front 4 to get pressure on QB.
Offense: Kept balance throughout the game with Foster running a lot up the middle and on some stretch plays. -Will use playaction pass to TE and to take some shots down the field. - Varies who his passes are going to, Kevin Walter actually had a big game after some missed tackles Defense: Run defense was stout the entire game. Only successful runs were on counters and some zone plays. - Ran a lot of man coverage with 2 high safeties to not get beat deep - Was able to complete passes on third down in the middle of the field off playaction against him.
