    How do you stop this?

I was playing a head to head online...

I was playing as Oregon against Miami.

He only had one play that he run, essentially the whole game.

I am fairly sure that this was "Slants" in the "Trio HB Weak" formation.
He would motion his half back to the side away from the receivers, and have him run a slant right pattern (which makes him cut it up the sideline).

He might have audibled one of the receivers on the other side as well, but I'm not positive.

When I ran zone plays, the running back was open every time.

When I ran man coverages, one of the receivers was open every time.

He kept his tight end in to block and he scrambled every time someone wasn't open, so I couldn't get much pressure.

I tried to use cloud zones to try and cover the running back on the sideline, but that left a huge whole for him to pass it too on the opposite sides.

Cover 2 and Cover 3 left easy holes for the back.

Man 1 and Man 2 coverages left people open a little further in their routes (He would run across the field with his quarterback to get a better angle if his receivers weren't open).

Anyway, any ideas on how to stop this?

Its hard to say without being there to see the play.

I gotta agree with the guys. Play tradition guys or friends, stay away from random idiots.

Even if you could figure out how to stop it why would you want to?

This FTW. Time labbing to beat cheesers is time you could have spent enjoying a game with sim gamers.

There is a play in Dime 3-2-6 (I think) called Corner something, lol. Yeah Can't really remember it. But It is man coverage with 1 safety over top, it send the closest corner on each side with a blitz.

The corners should stop him from scrambling around like crazy and be the safety and watch for the open receiver.

    Maybe?

I would have called either a 3-4 or 3-3-5 cover 2 and pulled one of the DLs off the line to manually cover the HB.

not sure if its in the game this year, but last year there was an awesome nickel play called Velcro or something like that. It dropped 8 guys into coverage and took away a ton of cheesy plays like this.

could also try one of the DE Contain plays with a bump and run at the line.
