How do you stop this? I was playing a head to head online... I was playing as Oregon against Miami. He only had one play that he run, essentially the whole game. I am fairly sure that this was "Slants" in the "Trio HB Weak" formation. He would motion his half back to the side away from the receivers, and have him run a slant right pattern (which makes him cut it up the sideline). He might have audibled one of the receivers on the other side as well, but I'm not positive. When I ran zone plays, the running back was open every time. When I ran man coverages, one of the receivers was open every time. He kept his tight end in to block and he scrambled every time someone wasn't open, so I couldn't get much pressure. I tried to use cloud zones to try and cover the running back on the sideline, but that left a huge whole for him to pass it too on the opposite sides. Cover 2 and Cover 3 left easy holes for the back. Man 1 and Man 2 coverages left people open a little further in their routes (He would run across the field with his quarterback to get a better angle if his receivers weren't open). Anyway, any ideas on how to stop this?
