I have some videos from my encounter with Florida up in my season blog.
Hey redwing, just a heads up all of your videos but one show up as private and want let you watch them. But thanks to you and Bigtubb_ for the info.
Dude, Robinson is fast. He turned the corner in that one and was gone.
Thats what 99 speed, 99 acceleration, and 99 agility gives you. The play was a basic load option out of the 4-wide shotgun + rb and empty backfield. The slot receiver (#6) on the right side (wr-rb-o-line-slot-wr-wr) came over, behind Robinsion, and then cut out to the sideline. The running back (#28) made a key block on the linebacker/defensive back, opening the pitch or keep. I never risk the pitch when I don't have to, and no one is catching Denard so it was a pretty easy choice to keep.
How do you run the zone read in this game. Every-time I try it is not pretty. I end up deciding what I will do before the snap and yep I guessed wrong.
i hate the long run plays where ea cuts off the beginning of it. happened to me yesterday on an 86 yard td run
I don't run the zone read. Too hard to get it to work consistently.
Zone Read or Zone Read option. Two different things....
Zone Read option, You watch the DE on the opposite the play is running...If he crashes down (I.E. runs toward your qb you hold the ball and run with the qb (you runs towards the DE, just dont let him tackle you, you run around him). If he doesn't (and is just standing there), hand the ball to the running back.
On Zone read runs...you follow the block without sprint...be patient with the block, wait for hole(or cutback lane)in the defense then burst when you see a hole or fall forward for two yards....
