Michigan State takes the Green Wave to the woodshed.
After not showing up for their last game versus Miss St, Coach Goldstein felt his Spartans needed to make a huge statement to the pollsters by thrashing Tulane today 73-14 in East Lansing. Andrew Maxwell was almost flawless at the Qb position only off target on 2 of his 19 attempts. However it was the run game that was super dominant. MSU rushed for 371 yards on the day. The most impressive thing about that was it was the backups doing most of the damage as starter Nick Hill left in 1st qtr after sufferring a concussion.
The defense was on point as well forcing two INTs and holding Tulane to 247 yards, with 90 of those coming on one play.
Maybe this is the type of momentum th Spartans need as they open up the Big 10 season next week versus Indiana.
