It was a long night for the University of Connecticut football team when they visited the hot South Florida Bulls on Saturday. Big plays swayed the score largely in favor of the Bulls with 4 turnovers and several long completions through the heart of the defense.

The huskies game plan coming in was to slow down BJ Daniels and the bulls efficient running attack to make them one dimensional. The strategy was paying off into the second quarter as Uconn limited them to a measly 40 yards in the first half. The coaching staff for Connecticut decided the plan on offense would be to take the pressure off star running back L. Mccombs by taking to the air. This was the fatal error in the game as one of Quarterback J. Mcentee's four interceptions led to a 93 yard interception return from F. Montgomery.

The second half saw a more consistent attack from the USF offense including close to 100 yards on the ground. The final blow came midway through the 4th quarter when Daniels took a keeper 53 yards to the celebration zone and the Bulls ran away with a 45-14 victory.

    Key Stats:
    BJ Daniels (10-14 211 yds 2 TD/ 9 car 74 yds 1 TD)
    Demetrius Murray ( 9 car 43 yds 1 TD)
Sterling Griffin (2 rec 75 yds 1 TD)
Evan Landi (4 rec 52 yds 1 TD)
Michael Lanaris (11 tkls 4 TFL 1 SK)

    Johnny McEntee (29-46 268 yds 1 TD 4 INT)
    Lyle McCombs (11 car 69 yds 1 TD/ 10 rec 64 yds)
