    Idea - Executive Panel

Just throwing this out there. From time to time, there are very difficult decisions that must be made within the OD to keep things on the up-and-up. Generally, this doesn't happen often at all, but it would be nice to have a plan.

Here is our conference make-up at the moment:

    Independents: Army, Notre Dame
ACC: Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami
    Big 10: Michigan
    Big XII: Nebraska, Oklahoma
    SEC: Florida, LSU

I think we should have a representative from each conference be on a sort of "executive panel", where the tough decisions are made by a committee of five people.

    What do you guys think?

With the group we have that could work. I would maybe suggest 3 though.

Okay, so we could do the Commish plus 3? As a caveat I would also have to say that a representative should come from the conference that the Commish is in, just as a checks and balances type of deal.

The way we've been running the E is basically an executive panel of 12, with AG breaking ties. Even if we went with some kind of panel, you still need a final say. I guess if you went with 3, you could go to a vote. Most important is having a reasonable commish who's active.

Basis, your idea of splitting the role might work. I just need to make sure I'm up for it. More tomorrow.

Not a bad idea but as stated above, The E already appears to have an Executive Panel of 12, well, now 10 and that works well overall it seems.

What is really needed is a "final word" kind of guy who'll make the tough decision and deal with the heat.

I say we do the tried and true, nominate and vote for two members.

The votes would be these two, plus the commish.

One reason I wanted to be involved with this dynasty was the fact that all members seemed to have a voice in the direction the dynasty takes.

I agree. We can nominate some people to lead our dynasty but I think everyone will still have a voice.

Everyone will definitely have a voice. But there is also always someone in charge; that was AG when he was the commish. Think of this as more or less splitting AG into three people, while the rest of the league still has the same voice.

This is a democracy for the most part.

I'm VERY excited about joining this group.

Once my job switches to my good schedule, I'll have WAY more time to do stuff around here.

I'm a fat piece of shit, so I'm definitely not a big baller, though I dabble in playing occasionally.
