    Impact Freshman?

Name your impact Freshman here or just any freshman you feel like talking about. Maybe a "name to remember" type of game....

WR Chase Brown 71ovr 6'0" 170 lbs Dalton, GA - Already caught a TD pass in his first game after schooling the CB on a slant route. Wide open makes it easy. Figures to be the main slot WR in the Terrapin offense.

WR Will Hudson 70ovr 6'2" 171 lbs Perry Heights, OH - A quiet first game, including a key dropped pass but has size that none of the youngsters in the WR corps has. He will compete for the #4 WR spot for the Terrapins which, if you've payed attention over the past few years, is a fairly productive/important position for the Terps offense. They like to spread the ball around

WR Brandon Edwards 70ovr 6'0"198 lbs Buffalo, NY - Has bulk and strength that the other Freshman WR's lack. He already proved valuable in the first game, scoring on a 84 yard catch and run. Plus he has a secret weapon; he's from Buffalo. Coach K's well known deep rooted love for Buffalo isn't much of a secret, but it's an advantage nonetheless.

LE Luke McRae 74ovr 6'1 244lbs Vinton, VA - A nice blend of speed and strength and figures to be a stud in years to come. He's very well rounded and hes the only full-time starter on this list. Hopefully he can make some plays for us this year because he has some pretty big shoes to fill.

MLB Matt High 73ovr 6'5 233 Central Manchester, CT - Very big, very rangy kidwith 91spd 91acc. He needs time as a backup to develop some other skills but the physical tools are there to be something special. Should be making plays on special teams as well as to give Avery Murray a break or in the 4-4 packages. A virtual lock to start next season.

I have 3 Freshman that should see significant playing time:

WR Mike Johnson 6'3 198lbs 71ovr - He is not a burner(81spd) but he is a big WR how will play on the outside. He needs to work on his hands(66catch). He is starting opposite Sr WR Tim Smith

CB Pat Rogers 5'10 175lbs 78ovr - Starting as a true freshman, he is the best CB on the team. He is a :3stars: out of New Milford NJ. He has good speed(93) and is excellent playing the zone(90).

FS Shane Denman 6'2 201lbs 74ovr - redshirt freshman. He is big for a saftey and hopes to make WR's fear coming over the middle(80 hit power) He has decent hands so he may create a few turnovers.
