What's making news as we pass the halfway poll in RMG 2017.

Let's start at the top, where The Georgia Bulldogs sit, yet again halfway through a season. It seems like every year they make it to this point with an unblemished record. However, can this season be any different than the past 7? We here at College football Insider believe that this is the year Coach Bulldog gets the critics off of his back and takes home the BCS title. That is to say, if they can get past a fiesty Auburn squad.

The Tigers of Auburn are setting The Plains on fire in a way that harkens back to their National Title season of 2012. [IMG]

Led by all everything QB Alex Bush, the Tigers, after a uncharacteristic blowout loss to Florida have rebounded in a big way. Having blown out USCar and Arky, and winning over LSU, the Tigers are poised to take control next week with Georgia coming to town.

Speaking of fire, lets move on to Baton Rouge and talk Tiger football. I have been to baton Rouge. It is hot, really hot. However, no place has been hotter than the coaching seat of the 12 head coaches in the past 8 seasons since Les Miles was found with a 4 foot high pile of cocaine and 13 male escorts and unceremoniously exited the program. That is all set to change now with Coach Edge taking over. He leads a talened crop of seniors, however the cupboard is a bit lean below this class. Can Edge lead the Tigers back to glory? Is having two teams in one league with the same mascot redundant?

Moving on to the ACC, where it seems to be a one horse race. That horse's name would be Seminole, of course. The Florida State Seminoles are tearing ass throgh the south, outscoring their opponents 17,988 to -45 so far the season. Truly a remarkable feat...

The once dubbed All-Canes-Conference has been anything but(t)[IMG] in these last few years. Sporting a 5-2 record thus far, the Canes are not out of the hunt. Should they get by Auburn in week 14, and a few miracles occur, the Canes could find themselves with an ACC title on their mantles.

Up North in South Carolina, the Clemson Tigers (another Tiger mascot?!?!) are making a push to the finish line (or at least week 12 when they face off with Florida State). After a season opening loss to Ohio State, Clemson has been impressive in rolling off 6 straight wins, albeit against lesser opponents. If the Tigers miraculously get by Florida State two years in a row, and with a few losses at the top of the polls, can the Clemson Tigers sneak a ho in the back door with a .44 and get to the BCS title game?

Part two coming tomorrow...Is the Big East the worst conference in College Football? Or is it the Big Ten? Will all colleges follow the lead and name themselves after the great beasts that roam the jungles of India? Will Les Miles bring the UNLV Rebels back to glory while basking in drugs, gheys, and b1tchez in Las Vegas?

    Part II:

Moving to the Big (Little) Eleven conference, we find the Ohio State Buckeyes riding high on a 35 game win streak. Which begs the question; Do they play The Gynocology School for the Blind? Short answer? No. Each year their schedule brings out the best in the NCAA Scheduling committee, and each year the Buckeyes pass their tests. Even though this year they can't pass a lick. They have not lost since the 2013 BCS Title game to The Auburn, you guessed it, Tigers. This week, they put their streak on the line against the once highly ranked Penn State Nittany Lions

The Lions were once again picked to possibly unseat the Buckeyes and win the conference and maybe play for a national title. Yet again, this was proved a false prophecy as they were taken to the woodshed by the, yet again, newly coached Michigan Wolverines. Penn State has the talent to take down the Buckeyes, but we must ask ourselves, do they have what it takes to win a big game in a hostile evironment? Possibly T.D. Jakes can help?

Speaking of woodland creatures (or woodsheds) the Wolverines of Michigan are for real, and their football team is too. After their original coach was fired for dropping a deuce in the women's room at Schembechler Hall, a new coach was brought in. This guy has been a 'solid number 2' [IMG] choice this season. Leadin the Wolverines to a 7-0 mark caped by the beatdown in University Park. The Ohio State - Michigan Game could be good provided te Bucks get past Penn State.

    Now, to the Big (L)East.

The Bearcats (WTF is a bearcat?!?!....better than tiger i bet) of Cincinnatti came into this year with hopes of getting back into the Title game. Aparently they forgot that Trevor Ball did not get a 6th year of eligibility. Now that he is catching passes for the 8-0 Cleveland Browns and bein one of he 13 people on West 6th street on a Saturday night in Cleveland, the Bearcats find themselves with 2 losses so far. There is still a chance for thm to win the conference, but really, it's the Big East, are there really any winners anyway? ;)

The Rutgers Scarlet Tige...err...Knights sit atop the conference with their high flying offense and porous defense. That said, if a few trees fall their way, or something, theycoul fin themselves playing fo a national title. We like the Knghts here at College football Insiders and see them finishing 11-1 and playing in a big Bowl game.

Th Pitt Panthers are a gritty, grinding, and greatful bunch. The triple G's of colege football. [IMG] They boast the most difficult schedule in football and played close in all of them. With asoft schedule remaining, we like the Panthers to finish 10-3 and go into te offseason with a TON of momentum.

Well, thats all for now, see you bastards at the end of the season, when he following questions will be pondered:

Will Ohio State have won a 3rd straight title? Will scientists find evidence of actual Wolverines in the state of Michigan? Will a bearcat have eaten the last remaining wolverine there? Will Les Miles get out of jail, or as he calls it "paradise"?
