Do any of you have this? I'm thinking of purchasing one. And would like some reviews
I have one, what do you want to know?
I got mine for work, its hardly useful. Thats my review, lol.
Lol mine would be pretty much for everyday use. Web browsing mostly. Maybe using the book reader store.
I have a 1700 dollar alienware laptop but the damn thing weighs 24.5 lbs. I get tired of lugging it around
Depends on what you do on the web then. If its just reading articles, not bad. If you want to play a flash game or something, forget it. Websites that use lots of stuff like that obviously don't work properly either *cough* dynasty wire *cough*
Its a big toy to buy angry birds and such for, its not really good for much else.
I use it to check my fantasy scores on, on Sunday's when I'm on the couch. Its excellent for that, haha.
Well thanks for the review. So basically it's a big iPhone. Nothing more
You're better off with a $400 Acer laptop. I have one. It does a lot of things better, but more importantly it isn't made by a company who is purely concerned with aesthetics.
If you want an e-reader, the kindle is the best out there. Everything that back-lit is too hard on your eyes for extended periods of time.
I use my iPad a lot and am very happy I got one. I am continually meeting with clients, showing them designs and what not. I have a dropbox and have an app for iPad too that allows me to basically take everything with me everywhere I go. It is much easier to carry around my ipad than my mac IMO so it is a solid investment for me. It is only a matter of time before the iPad makes the mini notebook obsolete.
I've found that the more business type stuff you wanna do with it, the better it is for you. Just buying it to fuck around with or browse the internet/play games isn't worth it, at all. But if you look into it, and a few apps that you might need, it could be worth it.
Ok so no iPad for everyday use. So what the heck do I want for Christmas now? Lol
Ask for sim skills at NCAA 11...you don't have any of that
On topic...I've looked into an iPad as well as my girlfriend was thinking of asking for one for Christmas for school...I just don't see the use you'd get with it solely on schoolwork that you wouldn't get from a laptop that fits in your backpack. I'm on the same page with Frisk, that I will get one when I get out of college and a job that allows me to use it to its potential, not for luxury.
Ask for one of those mini notebooks if you need a computer for class and don't wanna lug yours around...if you're only concern is taking your laptop to campus for taking notes...ask for a notebook and a pencil/pen.
If you want an iPad, send me $100 and you can have one
ill trust that statement about as far as i can throw you..
Haha ok your choice
Ipad for business use? Not for me it isn't. Gotomypc isn't even supported. The "business" apps, at least the last time I looked, were useless.
sounds to me like it will be a work in progress ..kind of like the iphone. they have slowly gotten better with every update they put out
Well not everything is about you Keller
logmein.com is supported.
Is it new? What operating systems does it support? Just Mac's?
My dad purchased one when they came out and it's basically turned into a paperweight. It's kind of cool as a novelty thing but isn't near worth the price.
