That 43 -- thing of beauty when that front seven is hitting!

Texas has some crazy alignments under Manny Diaz.

I hope they add the "Amoeba" Defense in NCAA next year.

This is one of texas most dominating performances (Maybe the most dominant besides the shutout of Kansas)

VT actually bases out of the 4-4 most often. It's Foster's brainchild formation, he has done so well evolving it into the spread era

Yeah Colorado was based out of the 3-4 but used a jack LB like a DE.

Luck picked it apart in that second half though.

Nebraska's Peso was nice back in the Big 12. Nothing fancy ( just nickel basically with a safety playing the nickel corner )but it was effective. They ran it a LOT.

Alas though, the Big Ten whipped us back to traditional football and it showed we weren't ready for the smash mouth / pro style

A lot of people are doing this. Texas ran Nickel as a base D under Muschamp for a while. I prefer Manny Diaz's pattern-matching, fire-zone, "Im bring heat this down - try and guess who/where/when" defense though :)
