Well the offense came alive to start the season...

Unfortunately the pitching, outside of Danny Carey throwing 2 gems I Peench :D, was awful :grumpy:. Usually it's the other way around to start the season. 3/4 losses were by one run so there is a silver lining there.

Took 3/3 vs teams NOT named Baltimore or Chicago last sim. Must be nice having home run happy parks. Just glad to have gotten those trips out of the way early in the season. Entire pitching staff is cold but who isn't in Midwest in April.

A starting month of the season with 6 games vs. White Sox, 4 vs. Baltimore and 4 vs. Tampa Bay is rough. To be anywhere close to .500 will be considered a success for now. Next month we expect to win a bunch of games against shit teams.

4-4 in one run games now after losing 3 one-run games first sim.

Survived the opening month against a brutal schedule. The pitching staff has a much better sim even while playing 7 games vs. the White Sox and Rays. We are excited to head in May now. We play a much easier schedule against some real shitty teams (Tex, Phi, Sea, Mia & Tor) dragging their anuses through the infield sand.

    April Opp Win % - .541
    May Opp Win % - .407

    Let's win some games!

Looks like the battle for .500 has already claimed half of the teams that qualified. Sad, so sad.

The Tigers went on a long road trip that sim which consisted of playing all 8 games on the road. This Tiger team was built to win at home and has struggled on the road previously against all these home run happy teams #realoriginal. Tigers won series against both Texas and Minnesota and split a two game series in Philadelphia.

He's currently the offensive MVP on this team and earning his trade deal thus far as expected

It's always nice to see players come back against their old teams and post great performances
Here we had Andy Paton, who was acquired last year for peanuts from HarkTheSound, throw a gem in his return to the Ballpark at Arlington

Some huge news in this sim as we have lost Terry Ashe, our anchor in LF, for the remainder of the season. The front office is still weighing options on how to replace our lead-off hitter. Luckily we moved Santos into the starting CF position last sim and he hit 1.003 last sim but he is also a fragile fellow.

SP Danny Carey has now pitched 5 games without a loss and looks to be heating up. Better than that is the 2.21 era posted in 9 games by Andy Paton this season. If Norm Wood would pick up his jock the SP may just be bale to carry this squad.

CL Ken Smith has a 1.67 fip with 10 saves this season

We closed out the second month of the season on a bad trip to Texas. We did manage to go .500 for the month and are hovering right around the middle of the pack in terms of other teams around the league. Our offense is in the top half of the AL but struggled this last sim with the loss of Terry Ashe being felt. 1B Ron Phillips continues to have an All-Star year hitting .341 avg now with 1.9 WAR.

Scary sim tonight as we play 7 against ty5oke and Houston. The Atsros are currently the #2 team in the AL and are being carried by a left-handed line-up in a left-handed park.

Nice sim to start the month of June. We were able to take 4/6 games on the road against the AL We(ak)st and then come home and split a series against the #2 team in the AL.

We are still struggling to score runs in any large numbers but are being held up by the #2 bullpen per ERA in the AL. If we can improve against lefties not only will the manager keep his job, we could even make the god damn playoffs. Still have 12 games left against the best team in baseball (White Sox) which may be the achilles heel.

Picked up some good wins overall quality AL teams in Baltimore and LAA this sim. Of course, traveling to the mistake by the lake did not start well and we can only hope to pick up a win to avoid the series sweep against Cleveland.

    upload_2014-3-13_10-48-20.png

The pitching staff is beginning to find their stride. With the best bullpen and the ever improving defense this team simply does not give up runs in bunches. This has kept us in a lot of close games as we have played 21 1-run games already.

Great sim where we finally got away from the .500 snide. Although we took a spanking courtesy of the tanking chief soxandgators to begin the sim we took Sunday off and prepared for Boston and kdpnutter. Well, despite Boston's shit poor pitching they still somehow won a game against us. Call it a fluke. Went on the road and beat the hell out of the WS Champ Rays. SP Danny Carey had a fantastic performance in front of his old squad from last year where he out-dueled Kukuk and chased in the 2nd inning.

Bullpen is still #1 in the AL while the SP rotation and defense have continued to improve all season. Would like to be scoring more runs since we have the 2nd best avg in the AL and least amount of strike-outs. How we do not have the #1 OBP, someone with better baseball statistic knowledge will need to provide input here.

Your team doesn't walk much. That's the logical reason to why your OBP is lower than you'd expect.

If tanking was easy everyone would do it.

Took on some blood spots on that sim. Got beat up by the Twinkies but were able to sweep KnightNoles and his Nats (silly NL). Things are beginning to get good on the offense but we are just struggling to get over that hump it seems. Maybe we are just pessimistic with our backs against the wall but even after dropping 5 straight to end that sim we are still 6 games over .500 and hold the 3rd best record in the AL. Just stings that we were 11 games up prior to laying that egg.

Still have 9 games on the schedule against Bondzai which helps when we still have 8 against soxandgators (n)
