    On May 09, 2011 I will be leaving for Basic Training in Fort Jackson in South Carolina. After that I will be going to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas for AIT. I know at least for the 9 Weeks of Basic I will be unable to play or even log-on. I will have to see about returning after but until I get settled onto Base and everything, I may not be able to be around until next season.............

    Shoulda talked to Dre before he left, he was playing from base I'm sure he would have had some tips for you. I don't know about Army bases but at least for Marine bases getting your own internet connection let alone one fast enough to game is near impossible. What's your MOS?

    Never call us health care specialist again... we're medics... and when you earn your soldiers respect/confidence you become 'Doc'... enjoy basic because it's the easiest thing you'll ever do in the Army... and pay some attention in AIT, at least to the Combat Medic side of the house... shit you learn there will build confidence when you get sent to your unit... while you wait make sure your doing push ups, sit ups, and running... make sure your doing correct push ups, don't be a bitch about 'em... Drills are going to smoke the shit out of you anyway but PT will be the only thing that keeps you from having a easy time at basic... even when shit seems impossible, just keep going you'll surprise yourself... oh and try to find some books at the library on the National Registry... give yourself as much of an advantage that you can muster... that's a big thing in AIT that can cause one to fail out of 91W or whatever we are now (I think 68W) school

    Got any questions, feel free to ask

    Not sure when JerzeyReign went to basic, but don't worry much about the PT. You can be in average shape and still succeed at basic nowadays is what my Army friends are telling me. Then again, coming from Marine Corps boot camp my definition of average shape may be a little different then everyone else haha

    @JerzeyReigns

    I was specifically told to call it Health Care Specialists, from MSG Burghardt, who was/is one. So I went with what a commanding officer said for it to be referred. He said "We do a lot more than just being a medic or anything like that, we are Health Care Specialists trained in a variety of things.

    Yes, in fact we are 68 Whiskey's (68W), and I already work in the health care field as a therapeutic assistant but any jump start I can get I definitely am, I will be working out every Thursday with my recruiter and the other recruiters and have started with the push-ups and sit-ups, and will start running this week.

    I'm trying to get it put into my contract about being guaranteed to go to Mike-6 school after AIT in order to get my LPN.
