The moment you've all been waiting for. Actually, waiting a few weeks gave me the opportunity to compare stats a little bit. Preferential treatment was given to freshmen that are actually playing and/or producing. There are a few freshmen that have better ratings but are not getting any playing time, or are being outperformed on the field. Enjoy.

    QB

    Starter - Matt Poland - Yale - 79 OVR, 88 SPD, 85 ACC, 81 BTK, 83 THP, 84 THA.

Matt is an incredible athlete and is obviously starting for Yale, having thrown for nearly 500 yards and run for 89 en route to a 1-1 record including a perfectly legitimate win over #11 ranked Iowa.

Hon. Mention - AJ Robinson - Delaware - 76 OVR, 85 SPD, 85/79 THP/THA. Edges out John Running Water of Brown and Dan Jones of G'Town because he's the only one of the three that has thrown more touchdowns (5) than interceptions (4).
    ------------------------------------------------------

    HB

    Starter - Drew Johnson - Columbia - 78 OVR, 93 SPD, 88 ACC, 90 AGI, 74 BTK

This one was pretty easy as Drew is heads and shoulders above the rest, and he's one of only two starting freshman HB's in the conference. Drew has run for 140 yards and 2 TDs on 32 carries.

    Hon. Mention - Atari Holt - Delaware - 77 OVR, 87 SPD, 80 ACC, 80 AGI, 78 BTK.

Atari is a talented back, but he's not quite as gifted of an athlete as Johnson, and he's not starting. Consideration also went to Harvard's Christian Piper, who is averaging 114 yards/game on the ground and has taken over the starting role for the 3-0 Crimson.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    FB

Starter - Lee Barnes - Dartmouth - 61 OVR, 80 SPD, 64 STR, 62 BTK, 72 PBK, 64 RBK. Similar numbers as Columbia's ........., but Barnes is the only one of the two that has touched the ball, and has a touchdown, so he gets the nod here.

Hon. Mention - Michael Andrews - Columbia - 62 OVR, 73 SPD, 67 STR, 57 BTK, 72 PBK, 69 RBK. Probably would've been 1st Team if he had touched the ball this season.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    WR

Starter - Andre Gant - Yale - 69 OVR, 90 SPD, 71 CTH - Gets a starting spot because as Yale's top target he's got 7 catches for 265 yards and 2 TD's. A 6'7 receiver with 90 SPD and decent hands = nightmare for nearly every secondary in the Ivy League.

Starter - Donald Wadsworth - Harvard - 69 OVR, 92 SPD, 72 CTH - Takes the starting position opposite Gant as he's got 9 catches for 174 yards and 3 TD's.

Hon. Mention - Jeremy Cummings - G'Town - While Cummings has a full 10 OVR points on both Gant and Wadsworth, he doesn't have breakaway speed and he's only got a paltry 3 catches for 30 yards and no TD's this season.

Hon. Mention - Brian Vickers - Bucknell - #3 in statistics and in ratings, falling just short of Gant and Wadsworth in nearly every category but a solid target for the Bison nonetheless.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    TE

Starter - Aaron Matthews - G'Town - 77 OVR, 77 SPD, 79 CTH, 72 PBK, 75 RBK. Easy choice, this one. Not only are his ratings far and away the best, he's got 8 catches for 100 yards, while no other freshman has more than a single catch.

Hon. Mention - Hunter Gould - G'Town - 71 OVR, 76 SPD, 60 CTH, 70 PBK, 76 RBK. Yes, that's right. The top TWO freshman TE's in the Ivy League are both on G'Town's roster. And it's really not even that close.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    LT

    Starter - John Hicks, G'Town - 73 OVR, 80/76/82 PBK/RBK/IBK. 1 pancake and 0 sacks allowed.

    Hon. Mention - Geoff Lawrence - Dartmouth - 69 OVR, 80/76/80 PBK/RBK/IBK. 3 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed.
    -------------------------------------

    LG

    Starter - John Penderson - Harvard - 71 OVR, 82/77/77 PBK/RBK/IBK. 3 pancakes and 0 sacks allowed

Hon. Mention - BJ Foreman - Howard - 65 OVR, 76/73/71. 3 pancakes, 3 sacks allowed as the only other starting freshman.
    -----------------------------------------

    C

Starter - Casey Brown - Delaware - 72 OVR, 73/81/73. 3 pancakes, 1 sack allowed. Casey doesn't start but has the best ratings and the best statistics, even in a backup role.

Hon. Mention - Justin Lopez - Bucknell - 71 OVR, 84/72/72. 1 pancake, 1 sack allowed as the only starting freshman C in the conference.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    RG

    Starter - Pierre L'Orraine - Harvard - 69 OVR, 78/76/71. 2 pancakes, 1 sack allowed.

Hon. Mention - Josh Johnson - Cornell - 64 OVR, 76/72/77. 3 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed as the only other starting freshman.
    -----------------------------------------------

    RT

Starter - Lance Scott - Pennsylvania - 69 OVR, 74/75/80. 2 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed. Not only is Lance the only freshman right tackle that is starting for an Ivy League team, he's the only freshman RT I saw.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Defense will be coming sometime in the next couple of days.

1-1 record at the time of this posting. We got hollowed out by Louisville. Do it over.

So I guess the defensive team can all just go fuck themselves. What'd you expect from a Texas Tech fan?
