Jacksonville, FL - Defensive end Lamarr Houston has agreed to a 6 year, $34M contract extension with the Jaguars; $15.5M of which is guaranteed. After acquiring Houston from the Raiders in the 2013 pre-season, the Jaguars immediately moved him to starting right end in their newly implemented 3-4 defensive system. "It was a difficult transition early on in the season," Houston commented, "But the Jaguars' defensive system has grown on me. (The Jaguars) have a vision for success. I look forward to a successful future here in Jacksonville." It is clearly apparent that the Jaguars intend to depend on Houston for years to come.
