The defense forced 4 turnovers and 2 sacks and defeated rival Houston Texans 28-0 for their first win of the season. This was the most complete game the Jaguars had played since the release.

The 1st quarter started off with great defensive play by both teams with the Jaguars driving down the field to end the 1st. The first play of the 2nd quarter resulted in a 2 yard rushing TD by newly acquired Alfred Morris. The next possession Geno Hayes got a sack that forced a fumble that was recovered by Wyatt Gibson.. Bortles would drive down the field and Morris would punch in another short run to make the game 14-0 right before the half.

The 2nd half was more of the same with 2 interceptions by the Jags defense and flawless throwing by Blake Bortles who had one of his best games of his career. It was like he couldn't do anything. Bortles threw a TD to his favorite red zone target, TE Kevin Bullock for his 4th TD of the season. Morris capped off the scoring with a 3 yard TD run for his 3rd of the game to seal the game.

Dwayne Gratz had 2 INT's in the game and Dee Millner had the other for his 2nd of the season. Geno Hayes had 2 sacks including a forced fumble. JJ Watt had a JJ Watt game with a sack and 2 TFL.

    B. Bortles- 123.6 QBR, 16-18, 166 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
    M. Murphy- 19-27, 190 yards, 3 INT

    A. Morris- 21 att, 70 yards, 3 TD
    W. Stephens- 6 att, 18 yards

    K. Bullock- 7 rec, 86 yards, 1 TD
    K. Hansen- 7 rec, 86 yards
