Jam, Sciko, and Frisk's Power Rankings - June 1st

Rank Logo Team Record Change Comments
[IMG] Atlanta Braves 4-0 [IMG] Scikotic and the Atlanta Braves are hot! With a 4-0 start and his only competition being the Brewers it seems this season will be a walk in the park for this talented owner.
[IMG] Toronto Blue Jays 4-0 [IMG] We didn't think it could be done but it appears that the Blue Jays are the real deal. Tox and the Jays have defeated some tough squads early in the season and is having no trouble swinging the bat.
[IMG] Detroit Tigers 3-0 [IMG] The tigers didn't get any love in the first rankings but by moving to an impressive 3-0 with wins over some talented teams, the Tigers are a sleeper pick for the playoffs.
[IMG] Colorado Rockies 1-1 [IMG] Dean and the Rockies are a good team and lost a close one to the Dodgers in extras. They fell a bit in the polls but don't count them out yet there is still a lot of baseball to be played and anything can happen.
[IMG] Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 [IMG] Dodgers shouldn't be this high imo but have gotten to a decent start, losing big to the Giants and to the powerful Blue Jays. The Dodgers offense won't be able to hold up for the rest of the season so the pitching will have to buckle down and win some games.
[IMG] New York Yankees 2-1 [IMG] the New York Yankees have lost some close games but also won big. It is tough to tell the fate of this talented team this early in the season. If they play like we all know they can look for a record breaking season from the Yanks.
[IMG] Florida Marlins 6-3 [IMG] The Florida Marlins are performing as expected and have jumped to an early lead in the NL. The ambition and dedication of this owner will push the team over the top and into the playoffs.
[IMG] New York Mets 2-1 [IMG] The New York Mets have a very powerful and talented team and are looking to improve with FA transactions. They have got out to a good 2-1 start but need to build off of that to keep up with the NL juggernauts the Rockies, Braves, and Marlins.
[IMG] Baltimore Orioles 1-0 [IMG] The Baltimore Orioles had an impressive win which raised eyebrows throughout the league. Although he is having issues with his pitching staff, I believe they will make necessary upgrades ensuring they stay on top of the ranks.
[IMG] Minnesota Twins 2-3 [IMG] The Minnesota Twins have got off to a mediocre start but look to remain consistent. With one of the most active members in the TBL I am sure the Twins will be making some key moves to give them advantages in their daily matchups.
[IMG] Boston Red Sox 0-2 [IMG] The Red Sox are under new ownership, resulting in a loss in series 1. His game vs Yankees was a offensive battle but I believe the Red Sox will settle and find their identity.
[IMG] Cincinnati Reds 1-1 [IMG] The Reds make a giant leap up in the ranks as they improve to 1-1 on the season. With some talented young players they look to put together a solid season in the NL.
[IMG] Texas Rangers 0-1 [IMG] The Texas Rangers have a powerful offense but have been impatient at the plate. As soon as team discipline is refurbished the Rangers will start to climb the charts of the AL.
[IMG] Milwaukee Brewers 0-1 [IMG] The Brewers played a tough game with NL favorite the Atlanta Braves. If the Brewers can keep games close with one of baseball's best pitching staffs, look for them to be a sleeper pick for the playoffs.
[IMG] Oakland Athletics 0-1 [IMG] The Athletics need to make some major changes and upgrades if they want to contend in the AL. With a tough loss first game of the season, Controllerabuser and the A's will look to bring in some big name players securing them a spot in the AL playoffs.
[IMG] St. Louis Cardinals 1-3 [IMG] The Cards are on a early skid in the NL and will have a tough time getting back up top. With an incredibly talented team if the pitching can lock down opposing offenses they will have a streak of good fortune. Ryty is a great owner and talented player, he just needs to get settled over there in St. Louis!
[IMG] Philadelphia Phillies 0-1 [IMG] CLW and the Phillies took a major fall in the polls after their lackluster loss to the Marlins. With one of the most potent offenses in the NL the Phillies can comeback from any deficit, CLW just has to realize it. If he can round up the boys and fight to the end he will climb back up to a spot in the playoffs.
[IMG] Tampa Bay Rays 0-1 [IMG] The Rays dropped severely after missing their first series game. With the Rays owner absent I don't see a bright future for this talented team.
[IMG] Chicago Cubs 0-1 [IMG] The Cubs swung it well against the Orioles but need to lock down their pitching. If they can do that look for a solid season from this team. With great young talent don't be surprised if BBJ deals some high paid players to give the young guys the nod.
[IMG] San Francisco Giants 1-5 [IMG] The San Francisco Giants have been very streaky team at the plate and have relied on Tim Lincecum to win games for them. If sdid and the Giants can bottle up their victory against the Dodgers and replicate they will recover from their early season woes.
[IMG] Chicago White Sox 0-3 [IMG] The Chicago White Sox have been spiralling downhill quickly and Moon will need to put a stop to his 0-4 deficit and get the White Sox in the right direction. Starter Buehrle and Peavy will need to be lock down pitchers for them in just about every start.
[IMG] Los Angeles Angels 0-3 [IMG] The Angels have fallen quickly and will have a tough time recovering. They will need to play better both at the plate and on the field in order to challenge their opponents

I'd keep an eye out on both of the top 2 teams, but there's still a lot of games to be played. As a ranker it was tough for me to do the rankings this week because so many teams are 0-1 or 1-0...next week we will be able to differentiate some of the contenders from the "pretenders"
