Following a tough loss last week, the Cards were on the road again facing another NFC North opponet in the Vikings. After the loss, Jason Merian took all the blame and said he needed to step up more and live up to his #1 pick(or #18, nice job EA!) status if this team were to be successful. Merian did just that accounting for 3 touchdowns through the air and 1 on the ground on a 29 yard QB read option. While some may have questioned switching offenses midway through the season, Merian seems to be proving it was a good move as he keeps improving this week while the offense keeps adding more and more wrinkles every week. Merian wasn't the only star in the game as RB Ryan Williams would explode for more than 150 yards and a touchdown, constantly torching the Vikings defense for 4 and 5 yard gains. Overall the Cards totalled over 200 yards on the ground and were able to neutralize Adrian Peterson thanks to jumping out to an early lead and Ponder was never able to get anything going consistently. Final score 41-14.
