GangGreen start off on the right foot

    Jets top Hawks 23-10

The offenses started out fast, with the Seahawks hitting John Carlson for a downfield strike, breaking tackles and finding himself in the endzone under 2 minutes into the game. The Jets however fought back and drove down the field to score on a Leon Washington 2 yard scamper.

The game from there was all defense, forcing punt after punt for both side. However, the story of the game was the turnovers for the Jets defense, who forced 6. (5 INTs, 1 Fumble)

Vernon Gholston was a terror, pressuring Hasslebeck all day and forcing errant passes. VG recorded 3 sacks, 2 TFL, and 1 INT. The Seahawks running game was completely grounded and the Jets were able play to the pass for almost the entire 2nd half. Revis Island held up to the reputation, allowing only 2 receptions for 30 yards, and batting away a pair or passes.

    Key Stats:
    Mark Sanchez - 14 for 28, 161 yards,
    Shonn Greene - 12 carries, 54 yards, 1 TD
    Leon Washington - 12 carries, 67 yards, 1 TD

    Vernon Gholston - 3 sacks, 1 INT
    Lito Sheppard - 2 INTs

    Only in Madden.

Anybody play with the Seahawks a lot? Who should I use: Justin Forsett or Julius Jones?

Jets keep Rams, Jackson in check.

    Win 17-7

Mark Sanchez slowed but methodically led the Jets to a 10 point win as he played a conservative gameplan. Leon Washington was able to help the Jets move the chains when they needed, and Shonn Green pounded the ball into the endzone twice.

The Jets defense was solid for most of the game, but gave up an early TD to Samkon Gado as he broke a few tackles and rumbled into the endzone for 7. The Jets defense didn't budge the rest of the game, keeping Jackson in check and putting pressure on Bulger all game. The defense forced 3 fumbles, but was only able to secure one of them which sealed the game with less than a 2:00 left....

The Jets move on to a 4-1 record and will be seeded into the OMFL Cup Tournament next week.

    Stat Leaders:

    Mark Sanchez: 12/18, 184 yards
    Shonn Greene: 22 yards rushing, 2 TD's
    Leon Washington: 51 yards rushing
Dustin Keller: 4 rec. 68 yards
    Vernon Gholston: 1 sack
    Sean Ellis: 1 sack
