Jets move to 5-3 on the season with road win over Jacksonville

The New York Jets traveled to Jacksonville following a rough loss to Arizona in week 6 and a bye in week 7. The team needed a win here to maintain position on the rest of the division as we move to the second half of the year. New York would step up and gain a 28-7 lead going into halftime. Although MJD had a strong day, he couldn't find the endzone often enough until it was too late.

Quarterback Steven Hardin continued his up-and-down rookie season as the Jets' starter. Following his worst game of the season in week 6, Hardin was near-perfect this game completing 13 of 17 attempts for 249 yards, 3 touchdowns and no picks. Hardin spread the ball around as six different Jets caught passes in the game. Touchdown grabs were made by Hunter Allen, Antonio Bryant, and Jeremy Kerley. Darren Sproles was not able to get much going on the ground with 20 carries for 64 yards, but he did add a touchdown run and a 57 yard reception.

Next week begins a key three-game stretch for the Jets with a season 1 AFC Championship rematch against the Colts in the Meadowlands followed by divisional games against the Patriots and Bills. This stretch could have big playoff implications down the road for this team.
