The Wildcats pulled off a small upset in Knoxville holding off the Volunteers for a big OOC victory. The Wildcats outgained the Volunteers 529yds to 267yds and held Tennesse to only 5 1st downs. Kansas State was able to move the chains at ease with 26 1st downs, but did have trouble in the redzone. 2 INT's and a couple of big runs by RB Bryce Brown kept Tennesse in the game. The Wildcats were led by QB Chris Harper with 425 combined yds and 1 TD. The Wildcats move to 2-0.

Kansas State was playing a near flawless game as they jumped on the Beaver 24-0...but then disaster struck for the second time in 2 years with both my starting QB and RB going down. The offense seemed to stall and was unable to run the ball with their backup RBs. Forcing to go to the air, Kansas State moved teh ball well and put upo impressive offense number again with 534yds total and 377yds of it in the air. The defense gave up some big plays but was able to force 4 turnovers. A once promising season may not live up to expectations as QB Harper is out 7 weeks and RB Thomas is out for the season.

Playing with their second string QB and RB the Wildcats faired well but just ran out of time. Collin Klien put up once in a lifetime numbers with 543yds 5 TD and only 1 INT. Lamarck Brown was Klien's favorite target for 12 rec 214yds 3 TD. The Wildcats defense couldn't get the Notre Dame of the field when they needed to and just came up short in this shotout. Still can't run the ball with my back up RB and went into pass happy mode again. Good news I threw for 487yds 2 TD. Bad news I threw 7 INT's. Thats correct 7 INT's.

After figureing out how to run the ball, not drop the ball, and stop turning it over the Wildcats offense settled in and looked kinda good. The defense however looked very suspect. Things are gonna have to get better if I still want a chance at the Big 12 north division.

The Wildcats win this semi shootout in the air as Klein throws for 520yds 5 TD and Brown hauling in 7 rec 327yds 3 TD for an amazing 46.7 avg per catch. K-State defense struggled unable to wrap up giving up 187yds to the Buffs starting RB and another 338yds in the air. The Wildcats are just hoping to finish theior season on a high note after suffering tough losses and players due to injury.
