    Kansas State vs UL Lafayette
    W41-24

After a shake up in the coaching staff, K-State was able to gain focus and defeat the Ragin Cajuns with a balanced attack led by So QB Cris Harper 340yds 3 TD, So RB Daniel Thomas 153yds 1 TD, WR Brandon Banks 153yds 1 TD, and WR Attrail Snipes 164 yds 2 TD. If the Wildcats can learn to take care of the ball they should be competitive in the Big 12.

Kansas St had this game in control from the opening kickoff, totalling 468yds. Chris Harper threw for 336yds 4 TD and ran for another 51yds 1 TD. Attrail Snipes led the wideouts with 108yds 1 TD. The Wildcats still can't shake the turnover bug as Harper throws 3 INT. Another blow was the injury to starting RB Daniel Thomas who will be out 1-2 weeks. UCLA did make a 4th quarter push scoring 2 late TD's but ran out of time. Up next is FCS Southeast. The Wildcats should use this as a tune up game before they start their Big 12 schedule.

Please remember the 70 point max score that I've warned the group about when you play vs the FCS team next week.

Not too exciting. I chewed the clock the whole game and 2nd string played second half. Racked up some good balanced offensive yards. Still threw 2 pics and gave up some stupid big plays against the pass, but only gave up 3 points. Start my Big 12 schedule next week. Then we will see how far along the Wildcats are.

This one was all offense as the Wildcats and the Red Raiders had an ole' fashion shootout. 2 pic 6's were the difference for Kansas State. QB Chris Harper combined for 382yds 3 TD in the air and on the ground. WR Brandon Banks had 149yds 3 TD to lead the wideouts. The one bright spot on D continues to be DE Brandon Harold who recorded 3 sacks, 12th for the year. Kansas State moves to an unexpected 6-0.

The Wildcats were able to hold off the Aggies in a back and forth game, highlighted with several turnovers including defensive TD from both teams to start the game. Kansas State was led by Chris Cooper who combined for 352yds 2 TD in the air and ground. Brandon Nanks continue to be the big play reciever with 5 rec 131 yds and a TD catch of 78yds. The defense gave up alot of yards today but key turnovers and stops on 3rd downs was the difference. The Wildcats improve to 7-0 on the season with a big matchup with Oklahoma lurking. Lets hope next weeks game against Colorado isn't a trap game.

So the Widcats do have a defense, holding the buffs to 149yds offense, 3-13 3rd down conversions, safety, INT, and 8 sacks. Kansas State moved the ball very well with a balanced attack 246yds on the ground and 272yds in the air. The Wildcats are still turnover prone with 3 TO's.

The Good: Kansas State moves to 8-0
The Bad: I have lost my starting QB and RB a week before my big matchup with #1 Oklahoma.

The Wildcats survived a scare from the Tigers to set up a huge game next week against Nebraska where the winner takes the Big 12 North. Kansas State played with their 3rd string QB due to injuries and Collin Klein played well throwing for 315yds 2 TD. Tim Flanders paced the running game with 112yds and Brandon Banks had 131yds 2 TD o add to his Heisman numbers. Brandon Harold recorded 2 more sacks as he leads the NCAA with an impressive 18 sacks for the year. Starting QB Chris Harper should make his return next week, if not the Wildcats may need a miracle next week.

Helu who? Wasn't needed as Nebraska's running game was unstopable, racking up 309yds 5 TD. The Cornhuskers also won the TO battle +6. The Wildcats were in the game for the most part, but went away from the running game and caught a case of the TO bug. Good game Hippo and good luck to you in the Big 12 CG.
