Audio Of Michael Dyer Traffic Stop Released: 'You're Being A Total Dumbass' http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2012/7/30/3204523/michael-dyer-traffic-stop-audio by Andy Hutchins READ MORE: Michael Dyer (RB - Auburn) Michael Dyer's Sunday dismissal from Arkansas State was said to stem from a "violation of team rules," like scores of dismissals before it. But the specifics of that violation are coming out, namely with the release of audio from a traffic stop that is said to be at the core of Dyer moving on from the Red Wolves. The Arkansas Times cites a paywalled Jonesboro Sun report in saying that Dyer was stopped with a gun and a substance believed to be marijuana in March, for which he was given a fine. The Sun also quotes the officer involved as saying "Carrying a pistol around? Uncool ... You've got a career ahead of you but you're being a total dumbass right now." If you would like to hear that, Rivals' Arkansas State site has audio of the stop. (MP3 here .) It sounds like a talented athlete throwing a second chance away, and the heartbreaking part is that Dyer seems to realize it.
About That Penn State Shirt http://www.sbnation.com/2012/8/8/3228847/penn-state-ncaa-shirt by Brian Floyd • Aug 8, 2024 5:53 PM EDT According to a tweet, this shirt is available in the Penn State bookstore: That's not the whole story, though. First, the shirt isn't in the Penn State bookstore. It's in one of those offshoot stores that isn't licensed by the university. It's not affiliated with the school, so put the pitchforks away for a moment. Second, the shirt itself wasn't made by Penn State fans. It was created by Smack Apparel. If you take a quick look at the company's website, you'll notice a pattern. The shirts they make are more of the "shock" variety, and the one above certainly qualifies. It's a way to get a reaction. So, yeah. It's still not a good look, but it's not as though Penn State is protesting the sanctions by tossing this tee shirt into its stores. There's pretty obviously a market for it, and Smack Apparel is attempting to capitalize on said market. But ... fine, can this all go away now, please?
Mike Leach Bobblehead!http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2012/8/8/3228200/mike-leach-bobblehead by Jason Kirk • Aug 8, 2024 1:16 PM EDT Sure, we'd all like to own a Mike Leach bobblehead, but you should know ahead of time that it'll just end up arranging leg wrestling tournaments among all your other bobbleheads just to test out a hunch about whether your Kent Hrbek bobblehead could beat your Tatanka bobblehead. @WSUCougars_com First 10,000 fans at the WSU-Cal game, Oct. 13, will receive a Mike Leach bobble-head! that looks fantastic! I will have to call in some favors as I don't think I will be able to make it up there for the game.
No doubt my man. I would kill just to spend a day talking to him and being around the program he runs. You should check out the documentary they did on him "Nick Saban: Gamechanger." Awesome look into his work and personal life and rise through his career.

Top 10 QBs: *imo* McCarron (Bama) - Until otherwise knocked off and exposed, which probably won't be until the combine. Manziel (A&M) - Heisman winner, for sure favorite to do it again? Why not. Aaron Murray (UGA) - Probably has a much higher ceiling then the two above but as of now and in college, he's third best in the nation and in his own conference... Teddy Bridgewater (UofL) - Heisman challenger in a conference that has nothing but his team won't allow him to put up gaudy numbers. He has "it", a warrior, gamer, fighter, etc... Braxton Miller (tOSU) - Urban knows how to maximize his potential, not sure how truly good he is yet. Tajh Boyd (Clem) - He has come a long way and being able to beat up on a "Pro defense" in the bowl game helped his cause, consistency is his main issue. I'm not a total buyer as of yet. Marcus Mariotta (Ore) - Operating that offense in his first full season playing was amazing to watch even though "I" only watched a few 2.3 games of his Kevin Hogan (Stan) - Gamer, leader, intangibles, Luck without the super talent I guess you could say. Casey Pachall (TCU) - efficient as long as he stays off the booze. Jordan Lynch (NIU) - Wildcard, he didn't particularly have a good performance against a better defense in the bowl game, whether he was trying to do too much and also his teammates being outclassed by better players. Very good on the field though and his play speaks for itself, he has no control on who he plays except if he would have gone somewhere else to play. Mentions: Blake Bell (Ou) Logan Thomas (VT) - David Fales (San Jose St) - Haven't watched him play, name is starting to get some buzz Derek Carr (Fresno St) - Seen this story before...
