I'm seeing some stupid averages, so I'm real close to putting a speed cap on returners. Not surprised no one has spoken up about it being too easy. It's a crutch to set yourself up to be in games you shouldn't be.

Fuck I think my longest return might be 25 yards.

Mustang could have called for a fair catch 7 more times last week and still averaged more per return than your longest return.

Yeah, I must be doing something wrong too, I had one for 30 yards in my last game and I couldn't believe it.

I think because A&M kick off guy has a weak leg. I would get the ball at the 10 near the sideline. Then 2 guys would get pancaked and I had a free run. I only ran back 2 all of last year with the same guy.

Great point. Just turn up cpu kick power. Problem solved

Until garbage time against ULL, my KR was my only way to move the ball :-(

    I haven't even sniffed a return yet.

I finally broke one for a good gain against Notre Dame with a 91 speed returner. THe only reason I did is because I pancaked 3 guys on the coverage team. I'm not sure there's a fix for that, but slower guys definitely mitigates it to an extent.

Yeah my average might be lower with a slow guy, but I had TDs on those 2 runs with anyonr over 85 speed

After somehow losing out on that P, I don't have anyone on my team with better than 69 kpw. Ready for users to run these fuckers back on me all day lol

FWIW, regardless of where the kicker kicks the ball in the endzone or to the 20, it doesn't change the kick return yardage which is calculated from the spot the receiver receives the ball.

So no, not problem solved. I increased the KO Power for the CPU hoping that they kick it out of the back of the end zone.

Of course not in the way you are stating it. It has more to do with the coverage being worse on the short kicks. I have yet to run one back when kicked in the end zone.

The one you had against me was in the endzone.

You sure? That one was also a bit different. I think I made a guy miss inside

Yeah I just watched the video, 106 yards. I got pancaked and you took it up that lane.

It's all the pancaking that's the problem imo.

You had a 95 yarder. Not much difference.

Are you suggesting it's a product of a realistic physics engine?

If so, I couldn't disagree more.

I'm not sure how you drew that from the context, it has to do with the new physics engine taking into account giant OL running at full speed against back-up LBs, CBs and safeties (sometimes WRs).

    It needs work, no doubt.

I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic so I asked, that's all :)

Getting a pancake on special teams is a highlight. I think back to when John Connor did it in a Jets preseason game and they showed everyone on Hard Knocks going ape shit in the film room over it.

I love the engine, don't get me wrong. But like you said, it needs some work.

Honestly, tooling it different for special teams might just be outside of the scope of what the current console can handle. Not that I want to get into blaming current gen for all the problems, but it's certainly realistic to hypothesize.
