KSU @ A&M -Kyle Field Kansas St. pulls out a big win against Texas A&M. Thankfully the first quarter was no indication of how the rest of the would go for the Wildcats. The Aggies came out firing on all cylinders with their hurry-up no huddle offense led by SR. QB Jerrod Johnson. The Aggies marched their way down the field for a TD on the first drive of the game. The Wildcats couldn't get anything going offensively and were able to hang in there and not let A&M run away with it. The game took a turn in KSU's direction when they forced a fumble and DT R. Guidry scooped it up and returned it all the way to the house for 6. On the first play after the kickoff Johnson threw a pick that KSU also took back for 6. That and 195yds on 24 carries by Darren Thomas led the Wildcats to victory. When asked about the game the coach stated that he was proud of his guys for hanging in there early in the game and not giving up. He also commented on how committed KSU is to running the ball, "That is our offense. We have alot of young guys at the QB position and the best help we can give them is handing it off to our backs as much as possible. When the ground game is going it makes it easier for those young guys to make plays for us. We won't be setting any passing records this season."
