    L1R Power Ranking #10:

    S.S.C. Napoli

Napoli's Cavani will be a constant threat in league play

    Top 3 Players:

    (F)-Edison Cavani (86)-Uruguay
    (F)-Ezequiel Lavezzi (85)-Argentina
    (F)-Marek Hamsik (84)-Slovakia

As one of the better sides on paper in L1R, S.S.C Napoli is a rather surprising vote to finish at the bottom of the table. The L1R giants boast, arguably, the most explosive offenses found anywhere in all four divisions of the TFL. Lead by the Uruguayan star, Edinson Cavani, it was no surprise that manager abolishthefed selected Napoli with the relatively early in the TFL draft. Couple the finishing prowess of the Uruguayan star with the quick feet of El Pocho (Lavezzi) and the captain of the Slovakian national team and you can have a lot of goals scored very quickly.

Their midfield is not lacking talent either, with former Udinese star, Gokhan Inler and Italian star, Christian Maggio manning the middle of the pitch. Italian keeper, Morgan De Sanctis has just signed a new deal with Napoli after a 1-year stint with Tukish minnows, Galatasaray. De Sanctis is not considered to be the quality keeper of say a "GiGi" Buffon, but he is definitely a solid keeper who will have his share of fantastic moments in net.

With the great attacking talent on the team, it is hard to see Napoli finishing last in League One Red under any circumstances.

    A.S. Roma

Does Totti still have enough to power Roma to promotion?

    Top Three Players:

    (G)-Maarten Stekelenburg (85), Netherlands
    (M)-Daniele De Rossi (83), Italy
    (F)-Francisco Totti (80), Italy

As one of the most successful Italian clubs in the 2000's, Roma may be poised to move higher in the table than a 9th place finish. Italian legend, Francisco Totti is turning 35 this year and although he may no longer possess the pace and overall skill that he once did, he is still very dangerous and may be moved from striker to more of a attacking midfielder position to utilize his vision. Former La Liga strikers, Bojan and Osvaldo will likely find significant time up front with the departure of Jeremy Menez (to PSG) and Mirko Vucinic (Juventus).

Former FIFA 09 coverman, Daniele De Rossi maintains his hold on the midfield and the addition of more attacking players like Pjanic gives Roma a bit of punch in the midfield. Brazilian centerback, Juan is still considered one of the best at his position and the signing of Netherlands' international, Maarten Steklelenburg insures great play between the pipes.

Manager kgx2thez, has been rather quiet about what he will be doing to keep Roma competitive, and we look forward to seeing what he can do with the Italian side this year.

    LOSC Lille

Lille fans are relieved that Hazard remains in France

    Top Three Players:

    (F)-Eden Hazard (85), Belgium
    (F)-Moussa Sow (83), Senegal
    (M)-Rio Mavuba (81), France

Manager Papa Perry, has already crowned his team to be one of the ones to struggle early L1R competition however, that may just be a ploy. Lille has been one of the most exciting French clubs in recent history, and with Moussa Sow and Eden Hazard up front, expect a lot of goals to be scored.

Their midfield is very solid, headlined by their captain, Rio Mavuba. Add in Joe Cole, loaned from Liverpool during the transfer window and Lille may surprise a few teams.

    Juventus

Del Piero has gotten a little help as his career winds down

    Top Three Players:

    (G)-Gianluigi Buffon (85), Italy
    (M)-Andrea Pirlo (83), Italy
    (M)-Arturo Vidal (83), Chile

makinpropel shot down the hopes and dreams of another coach when he selected Juventus with the first overall pick. Juventus is one of the best overall teams in either of the League One Divisions. Captained by living legend, Gigi Buffon, Juventus has one of the best ever in net. The additions of former Milan star, Andrea Pirlo and Chliean star, Arturo Vidal gives their midfield unparalleled playmaking ability. The defense is anchored by Giorgio Chiellini, the 27 year old Italian centerback.

This a dangerous team that could easily run the table in League One Red.

    Lazio

Lazio is a sleeper team that has immense talent

    Top Three Players:

    (M)-Hernanes (84), Brazil
    (M)-Stephano Mauri (81), Italy
    (M)-Miroslav Klose (81), Germany

Lazio is probably the most underrated team as far as talent is concerned, in League One Red. The Brazilian midfielder, Hernanes, has been described as "the best attacking midfielder from Brazil since Kaka." Stephano Mauri is a great winger that can make pinpoint passes from out wide. Klose is a new addition to the Lazio attack and is deadly in the box as an aerial threat. Finally, no one stands out as much as the often blonde, black frenchman, Djibril Cisse. While opponents are shocked with his outrageous style, Cisse is a clinical finisher that will make opponents pay for leaving him alone.

Pagamer07 has a great team on his hands and should be able to give even the best teams fits.

    Atletico Madrid

Falcao has AM fans already forgetting the name Kun

    Top Three Players:

    (F)-Ramadel Falcao (86), Colombia
    (F)-Jose Antonio Reyes (85), Spain
    (F)-Arda Turan (83), Turkey

One could easily believe that the loss of Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero would be completely devastating to a club. However, Atletico Madrid seems to not have missed a step at all. Grabbing the Turkish national team captain, Arda Turan from Galatassaray and the extremely dangerous Falcao from Porto, it is almost like the two stars who left for Inter and Man City, had never left. Its not just those two guys either. Atletico already had a solid nucleus with Filipe, Tiago and Reyes owning the midfield.

Bryan Colmenares loves to play an uptempo offense and I expect Atletico to score a lot of goals in League One Red.

    Valencia

Soldado has his hands full in League One Red

    Top Three Players:

    (F)-Roberto Soldado (82), Spain
    (G)-Diego Alves (81), Brazil
    (D)-Adil Rami (81), France

The first change BlyGilmore should make, is putting newly signed keeper, Diego Alves between the pipes. The former Almeria star will be an instant upgrade, while French strongman, Adil Rami will be able to stop all but the most elite strikers. Robert Soldado has the ability to finish with either foot and can be a handful in goal when he is in form. Valencia may not have the huge names that some other clubs in League One Red may have, however, they have a very deep roster that many other clubs cannot compete with. With their depth, its suggested that Valencia try a few different lineups, utilizing people off the bench to find a good combination for this league.

    Villarreal

Rossi is always a danger up front for the Yellow Submarines

    Top Three Players:

    (F)-Guiseppi Rossi (85), Italy
    (F)-Nilmar (83), Brazil
    (G)-Diego Lopez (84), Spain

Villareal has the talent to beat anyone in any league. Headlined by American-born, Guiseppi Rossi, Villarreal's talent doesn't stop there. He plays alongside Brazilian striker, Nilmar, who is arguably one of the best finishers in League One Red. Between the pipes, Spanish international, Diego Lopez who is one of the better goalkeepers in the world. Not ignoring the fact that their midfield also boasts, Bruno Soriano, Borja Valero, and Marcos Senna is detrimental to any opponents defense.

Manager GMangs has a stacked squad and many think he has the management skills to get promoted.

    Olympique de Lyon

Give him space and Lopez will finish for a goal

    Top Three Players:

    (G)-Hugo Lloris (85), France
    (F)-Lisandro Lopez (84), Argentina
    (F)-Michel Bastos (83), Brazil

Most voters believe Lyon is a lock for promotion and its hard to argue when you look at the talent on the squad. Unlike many strikers, when Argentinian international, Lisandro Lopez is on the pitch, he is one of the hardest workers on both sides of the ball. However, this doesn't stop Lopez from maintaining his focus, as he is still a great finisher. Paired with the Senegalese-born French target man, Bafetimbi Gomis, and Lyon is now expected to score a lot of goals. On the wing, Lyon has the Brazilan star Michel Bastos who can get the ball from out wide to the forwards pretty much at will. Finally at just 24 years old, Lyon also has arguably the best young goalkeeper in the world in Hugo Lloris.

Quite frankly, Manager XAttackConquerX has a lot of pressure on him with such a great squad, as most voters and Lyon fans expect nothing less than a promotion in Season One.

    Fiorentina

Fiorentina is no longer a sleeper pick to win the Season One title

    Top Three Players:

    (F)-Alberto Gilardino (81), Italy
    (F)-Steven Jovetic (81), Montenegro
    (F)-Juan Manuel Vargas (81), Peru

At first glance, Fiorentina doesn't normally get a second look and that has been the main problem for Fiorentina's opponents. Alberto Gilardino has been a staple at Fiorentina for years now, but the addition of young striker, Steven Jovetic has Fiorentina flying high. Peruvian midfielder, Juan Manuel Vargas is a big and strong midfielder who can own the pitch with his midfielder teammate, Riccardo Montolivo.

Even with all of these lesser known weapons, the most underrated weapon is the squad's manager, Leander Francisco. He makes the most out of this team and most "experts" see him gaining promotion and likely moving to a bigger squad. No pressure.
