    Freshmen Phenoms is a new dynasty this year formed with the intent of taking in new members and introducing them to the TSO community. We will follow the strict rules and guidelines that TSO has been built upon to enforce "Sim" gameplay and a realistic NCAA football experience. Above all else, we are here to have fun, develop friendships, rivalries, and grow as a community. It is expected of myself and everyone in the league to produce content to keep our forum active and enhance the dynasty experience.

    Players leaving
    A player will not be allowed to attempt to sway a player from the pro draft if he:
    • is > 95 OVR
    • is a JR that has won the Heisman
    • is a JR or SO(RS) and has won a major award (Thorpe, Maxwell, Biletnikoff, etc) and is > 90 OVR
    Kickers and punters can be swayed from pro draft regardless of OVR and class.

    The amount of scholarships that can be offered at any given time will be dictated by the following formula:

    A = number of seniors on your team that will graduate
    B = number of underclassmen that qualify for pro draft with aforementioned rules. So underclassmen that are 90+ and have won an award.
    C = 70 - number of players on your roster
    D = 1 additional scholarship

    A + B + C + D = total number of available scholarships.

    Example: 18 graduating seniors + 1 junior leaving early + 0 extra roster space + 1 scholarship = 20 available scholarships.
    Note: Committed players count against your scholarship limit.


    If you have not read this then please take the time to go over this and understand it. If you follow these rules and expectations we will have one of the most succesful leagues on TSO.

    Game Restart
    • If you have a CPU restart you will be penalized with the loss of 33% of your scholarships for next season. The burden of proof is on you to show why there was a restart.
    Game Planning

    Allowed except for:
    • Run Commit
    • Jump Snap
    • Strip the Ball
    Play Calling
    • Vary play calling as much as possible on both defense AND offense
    • You can attack an opponent's weakness, but do so without exploiting a flaw in the game itself
    • The offense must make sure the defense is allowed reasonable time to read and adjust to audibles (i.e. 2-3 seconds)
    Editing Players:

    Editing of Height and Weight of players is not allowed. You may edit appearance and "gear" only.


    • There is a scoring cap of 60 points in a blowout. If you exceed this your team will be hit with sanctions.
    • If ahead by 28 points or more in the 2nd half, you must bench your starting offense
    • If ahead by 40 or more in the 1st half, you must bench your starting offense
    • Unrealistic Audibles are not permitted (i.e. Goaline to Shotgun, I-Formation to 5-Wide)
    • WR cannot be moved to TE with audible
    • TE cannot be moved to WR with audible
    Hurry-Up Offense
    • Must be used in a sim fashion. I am very skeptical of allowing this as is, please allow the other team time to set up their defense in the event that the game glitches and doesn't align people correctly. Use this to keep the same personnel on the field, not to rush the players out of position. Again, ALLOW THE DEFENSE TIME TO SET UP.
    • Ball cannot be snapped until the player is set in stance / in position regardless of play clock remaining, unless by play design
    Quarterback Scrambling
    • QB drop-back must be of realistic length ( 3 / 5 / or 7-steps)
    • QB roll-out immediately following the snap must be by play design (i.e. bootleg / option)
    • Scrambling is allowed if pressured, but pressure MUST be there
    Goal Line Formation

    Allowed when:
    • Used on 3rd / 4th & Short (2 yards or less) or
    • 5 yards or less from the end-zone
    4th Down Attempts

    Allowed if:
    • On the opponent's side of the 45 yd line and it is 4th & 3 or less or
    • Anytime down by 14 pts or more in the 2nd half or
    • Trailing in 4th quarter

    Formation Limitations
    • 3-4 / 4-3 / 3-3-5 / 4-2-5 are the only formations allowed to be used as a base defense
    Pre-Snap Adjustments
    • Press Coverage / Loading the box / Showing blitz are prohibited on 3rd and 4th down if the yardage to gain exceeds 5 yards
    • Performing the same pre-snap adjustments every play / repeatedly is NOT allowed
    • Using the "Run-Commit" feature is NOT allowed under ANY circumstances
    Manual Player Movement
    • In addition to the rule below, users may manually move one (1) player pre-snap.
    If a DB / LB is not lined up properly over their man, a player is allowed to put them in correct position. This is permitted in man defense ONLY

    Pass Rush
    • Looping around the OL to avoid contact is prohibited, initial contact with the lineman must be made
    • The defense MUST rush AT LEAST 3 players, NO EXCEPTIONS
    Special Teams
    • Fake Punt/Kick allowed within same restrictions as 4th down attempts
    • Manual player movement pre-snap is NOT allowed, period.
    • Any kick that takes advantage of the AI is banned.
    You may not redshirt:
    • Juniors (except for JUCO transfers)
    • Seniors
    • A player whose Overall rating is 1st or 2nd on your depth chart. The exceptions here are for:
      • Kicker/Punter
      • Quarterback
      • Offensive Line
      • A FR or SO if an upperclassman within 3 points of him.
    Recruiting Restrictions
    • All teams may sign up to 2 :5stars: players
    • Conference championship winners may sign 1 additional :5stars: player. This will be added to total for the following season.
    • National championship winner may sign 1 additional :5stars: player. This will be added to total for the following season.
    Recruiting Violations
    • Going Over Scholarship Numbers:
      • Reduction in the following years scholarships by the amount over
    • Over signing :5stars:players:
      • Coach must cut the :5stars: player that caused the overage
    Scheduling and Advancement Schedule:

    We will advance the league every 48 hours approximately 10 PM EST. This is a hard advance with NO exceptions. Always recruit before you play your game! If you have played your game, I am assuming that you have recruited and will count you as ready. If you have a bye and all players who had a game have finished we will advance. So make sure you recruit ASAP when you have a bye.

    Each team will have at the minimum 5 head to head game scheduled each season. It is your responsibility to check your schedule, and plan accordingly. Be proactive and contact your opponent for a good time for you to play your games. I suggest adding each coach's gamertag to your friends list.

    The offseason will be conducted in one night that works best for the majority of the dynasty. This does not include the preseason.

    Forum Requirements
    • The winner of each User vs User contest is REQUIRED to post a game recap (2-3 paragraphs, not a novel)
    • ALL members are expected to participate in any official league discussion
    • ALL members MUST use the "Game Scheduling" forum as the primary means of scheduling league games
    • ALL members are required to post Season Previews
    • ALL members are required to record their recruits in the recruiting page
