Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to provide you with the details for the newly created CCM for the 12th Man reboot.

The CCM has been created and advanced to the end of the 2012 season.

The name of the new CCM is: 12th Man Sim League

I will be sending out invites for participating owners to join. I believe there is a limit to the number of invites sent out at one time, so if you receive an invite, please sign up as soon as you can. If you have not received an invite and are ready to join, shoot myself or Doug a message for the league password.

Upon joining the new CCM, please create a new coach USING YOUR OWN NAME and select your team.

DO NOT sign any free agents at this point, for any reason. Rosters have been recorded at this point and any violators of this rule will be subject to discipline, up to and including dismissal from the league.

    New CCM Set-Up Information

    Draft Picks

All draft picks have been assigned to the correct teams, to mimic the upcoming NFL draft (minus compensatory picks). The 2nd round picks of the Browns (supplemental draft) and Saints (bounty-gate penalty) have been left with those teams for the purposes of our CCM.

Any picks traded for the 2014 NFL draft have also been processed in the new CCM.

Conditional draft picks have not been processed, as there is no mechanic in the game to account for them, and will not be applicable going forward.

    NFL Signings & Resignings

    - We started with the End of Season roster available when creating a new CCM

    - All NFL signings and releases, as of 3/27/2013, have been accounted for in the new CCM.

    - While every effort was made to account for every move made this offseason in the NFL, up until the cutoff date of 3/27/2013, it is entirely possible that some moves may have slipped through the cracks so to speak.

    - Any players that were signed as free agents, or resigned with their original teams, have been signed in the CCM to a 1 year contract for the 2012 season. That means that once we advance to the upcoming resigning phase, it will be the responsibility of each owner to resign these players (along with any other expiring contracts on their team) if so desired by that owner. As usual with the resigning period, you only get to make each player ONE offer to resign with your team. There is no guarantee that any player will accept an offer, and in some rare instances a player may not even listen to an offer and will elect to become a free agent. Likewise, any player that does not accept an offer to resign will become a free agent and be open for all teams to bid on.

    Player Retirement

    - Any players that have retired have been left on their original teams, unless that team had already released that player. We have no control over retired players (in real life or the CCM), so we chose to leave those players instead of trying to make them untouchable free agents, as the computer signing players is now a factor.

    - If a player retires in the CCM, regardless of whether they have retired in the NFL, that player is retired and cannot be brought back.

    NFL Trades

    - Any trades made in this NFL offseason (through 3/27/2013) have been processed in the new CCM.

    Salary Cap & Contracts

    - Most teams will have some sort of penalty applied to their cap for the upcoming 2013 season. These penalties were incurred as a result of roster moves made to mimic real NFL roster moves.

    - Keep in mind that the CCM has kind of a bug in it when displaying contracts at this point of the offseason. On your team salaries page, you will have two groups of players listed with one year left on their contracts. You will have players that just completed their final year, and players that are just entering the final year of their contract. There is no way to differentiate these two groups, but the problem is resolved once we advance past the resigning phase.

    - The salary cap will be turned on in the new CCM, and all salary cap figures and information will be managed by the CCM.

What Can YOU Do After Joining the CCM?

You can perform the following team functions to help you prepare for the upcoming offseason:

    - You may assign XP earned during the simulation of the 2012 season to your players, using the Progress Players option in the Personnel menu.

    - You can look at the Team Salaries page to view you team’s salary info, including 2013 penalties that have been incurred.

    - You may perform releases at this time, and they DO NOT need to be posted in the forums.

    - You can adjust your team’s schemes to reflect your play style, as this will also affect ratings when looking at players.

    - You can scout available free agent, by looking at the Free Agents option in the Personnel menu. But again, DO NOT sign any players at this time.

    - Trades cannot be offered to the CPU until after we advance to the resignings phase.

Apparently the limitation to invites no longer applies. All owners have been invited.

Guys, you really need to give props to Jim if you haven't already done so. He put a lot of time and detail into this, not to mention, a lot of testing was involved. Thank you, Jim! (y)

bills stripped down and ready to build. damn half the reasons i took the bills were either ratings nerfed or no longer on the team, so this should be an interesting one
