Per request, I'm starting a poll to see if the league feels we should move to 24 hour advance / SIMs for both the regular season and post season.

I don't see how this isn't doable. Just matters how committed owners are in here.

The biggest challenges that have been expressed so far are finding people for sims (I know I alone can handle atleast 4 to 5 sims a week easily as I'm a home body and dont shit since I have a 2 year old).

The other concern was that owners wont have the time to tinker with the team like they currently (IE: Comb through their minors, look at replays, and tinker with lineups etc).

Not true for me. I spend about a hour in 2 differnt sims in the offseason. Once i set up my minors I never spend more then 20 mins ever doing all my lineups etc in a daily sim. I dont get why guys use that crutch they have lives blah blah blah its just a excuse. They spend hours a day playing in there TSO gamer leagues. What is a extra 20 mins 3 times a week. The whole point is if OOTP is important to them then it isn't a issue.

I like going through my system so I guess if the 24 hr advance is the majority ill just have to change up my ways.

Clearly something only a Cubs fan would ask? Why not pass him some pot too?

I'm not sure having a simmer daily is the biggest issue. I'm around most of the time because it's usually right after I get off work.

I'd be more concerned with content/report uploading/running through draft too quickly/etc...

well content is minimal, the draft always finds a way to break etc...

Outside of a few people there rarely is content now on slower sims. Report uploading I can also do nightly after SIMs as well so thats not an issue there either. I do share concerns about the draft and a possible exception could be made for that possibly? If we're going too fast during draft time.

I dont like the idea. During the season, that does not give nearly enough time to analyze your team, other teams, watch game replays, read logs, set strategies, etc, etc, etc.

My preference would be to have a mixture of 24/48 sims (although this may be hard for teams to keep up with).

24 hour sims for most of the regular season, 48 when draft hits and July for trade deadline.

I'm very much in favor of this, giving people a chance to take more time with the draft and trade deadline. I like to look at replays also but given that I'm west coast time it's a little easier for me.

    Voted no...

I'd be ok with a hybrid...

48 hours up until trade deadline, then 24 hours after, then maybe I'm ok.

Need time to work out deals, etc. before then.

Some of you asking for this evidently dont spend much time on your teams....

Regardless, if it goes to this I may not be able to enjoy myself or have the time to be able to dedicate to my team. There will need to be more people to sim (and therefore jeopardize file integrity). We would also have to modify the strike rule for booting members.

Hate the idea personally like I said. But Ive kind of taken a back seat as commissioner, whatever the group decides is fine. Whether I stay on is another matter.

Someone check this account. I'm seriously concerned we have a case of stolen identity here. The Aldolf Rockwell i know would have said, "pretty poll pansies, but there ain't no changing this old man's ways."
