    The Dugout

There has been some questions / discussion about possibly extending the DH to the NL. I figured I'd put it up for a vote to see how the league felt about possibly extending this to the NL.

Thank you for that keen insight as to why, it all makes sense now. ;)

I thought so :) if I wanted to make all of these rule changes I would have joined a fictional league.

Tbqh, we are in year 2024. Its irrational to think that by that time the NL wont have a DH irl.

The DH is coming to the MLB. Its just a matter of when.

There is no reason not to. For starters the in game strategy settings don't allow for the creativity that a normal NL manager IRL can do.

In addition, it will increase trade value of a lot of players as well as make the free agent market much more competitive. As it is now, half the league doesn't bid on solid players just because they can't play defense.

And really.. it has to. We are playing Interleague games every day because of 15 teams in each league. It's dumb not too.

The traditionalists will never let the game turn into glorified batting practice

No for a lot of reasons. Most importantly though, I don't need all of you f'ers adding another bat to your lineup that can hit home runs in Coors. I'd rather force another pitcher to bat.

In that case could the A's get moved to San Jose?

Im in favor of this rule only to make the game somewhat interesting. Seriously, the NL sucks and this game is dominated by the AL. Lets balance it.

Sorry but ever since ive joined the dugout all ive seen is that the AL is light years ahead of the NL. If NL guys like getting pounded then by all means keep the rule, if yall NL guys want to even the playing field i have no problem with it. I wouldnt want to keep playing a game if it was pointless, make it to the WS just to lose.
