    LSU - 38
    Arkansas - 13

The game started off close, with the game being 6-6 before LSU took over. Zach Mettenberger started the game over Jordan Jefferson (who looks like he may be benched for the rest of the year). LSU was able to draw the Arkansas defense up with runs and short passes, but was able to beat them over the top for 3 TDs on the day. Reuben Randle and Zach Mettenberger both had career days. Defensively, LSU played very well aside from a few big plays with poor tackling. Taylor had 2 interceptions on the day. Surprisingly, DE Montgomery hasn't gotten a sack in the last few games. He has 14.5 and is currently the LSU record holder for sacks in a season.

This win caps a 11-1 regular season and gives them an 8-0 mark in conference play. The Tigers will face Georgia, who has already completed their regular season 9-3 (7-1), in the SEC title game. After a 1-3 start, the Bulldogs have won 8 games in a row and are currently #13 in the rankings. A win will likely place them in the National championship game - a loss could leave them with an at large BCS bowl bid, or relegation to the Capital One bowl.

Either 10:30 tonight or tomorrow night, depending on whether I'm going to be on that late tonight.

Gainesville, FL -- It's been a wonderful season for the Irish so far, but they aren't finished just yet. "We want to win the Big 10, that's the goal right now," stated a focused Coach Kelly after the game this evening against the Gators. "It has been a great year so far, but there is much work to be done. We need to now get ready for the Hawkeyes who are a well coached team."

The Irish are peaking at the right time. The offense has averaged 29.6 points since week 9 vs the first half of the season in which they only averaged 20.1 points. Florida was able to lead in overall yards for the game, but Notre Dame had the edge in time of possession with 14:07 to the Gators 13:53. The real differences came in the turnover department which Florida had 3 costly turnovers on drives that went deep into Irish territory compared to Notre Dame's single turnover which came on a QB fumble.

Cierre Wood had a great game rushing for 129 yards on 17 carries and 3 touchdowns. Notre Dame was able to score on their first possession and keep the lead for the remainder of the game. Next week the Irish are on a bye and then head to the Big 10 championship in their inaugural season to face the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Oregon wins the Civil War in a battle for the right to play USC in the PAC 12 championship game. This was a very ugly game that was determined by turnovers. The Beavers committed 4 while the Ducks had 2. Oregon State was able to hold Oregon to only 151 yards of total offense. LaMichael James went down with an injury early in the 1st quarter and would not return. Kenjon Barner came in but was not really effective. Darron Thomas reverted back to his terrible play. He went 6 for 19 for 70 yards with 1 TD and 2 interceptions. He was also sacked 3 times.

    Key Stats:

    Kenjon Barner - 18 carries 68 yards 1 TD
    Josh Huff - 1 catch 6 yards 1 TD
    John Boyett - 3 tackles 1 interception 1 deflection 1 TD

    #15 Michigan 27
    #12 Ohio St 17

Michigan may have ruined BCS and Big Ten hopes but they did end up winning the most important game of the year... The Game vs hated rival OSU. Michigan jumped out to an early 14-0 lead with 2 TD Passes by Denard. Ohio State would bounce back bringing the game close at halftime. Michigan would then pull ahead again on a huge fumble returned for a TD on a punt. Ohio St would then precede to fumble almost every drive allowing the Wolverines to rap up the win. Michigan finishes of the regular season with a huge win for the program, the first time beating Ohio St in years. We now sit and wait for our bowl destination.
