I guess the CPU felt sorry for the beatdown they delivered to me in the PSU sim.

And the sim beatdown was CPU's repayment for Hova stealing Vickers from me because I didn't have home game till week 6. It comes full circle.

Yeah I really need to lock up that athlete and several other people on my board. Hoping that week 6 game against Buckeyes goes well. A loss would decimate my recruiting class.

    Alabama - 42
    Florida - 32

    Too Close for Comfort

Alabama let Florida get up 21-0 before deciding that they wanted to play football. Two early turnovers helped put Alabama in such a large hole. The Crimson Tide was able to tie the game at 21 going into the half. Florida fought all game long. They were down be 3 and driving late in the 4th before John Brantley threw an interception to just about end the game.

    Highlight of the Game:

Michael Bowman breaks the record for longest kickoff return with a 98 yard dash.

    Lowlight of the Game:

Alabama lost key backup running back Eddie Lacy for the season early in the 3rd quarter with a torn shoulder.

    Key Stats:

    A.J. McCarron 20-27 312 yards 3 TDs 1 INT

Trent Richardson 20 carries 111 yards 2 TDs

Julio Jones 7 catches 97 yards 1 TD

Michael Bowman 2 catches 96 yards 1 TD

    Player of the Game:

    Michael Bowman 252 All-Purpose yards 2 TDs

The Crimson Tide will next host PipeHitter531 and his Virginia Tech squad

***Alabama also gets it's 1st 5 star commitment on the year before the game.

    Miami 52

    Boston Colllege 27

Miami started this one off with a bang as they would pick 6 the Eagles on the very first play of the game. Boston College and Miami would then exchange blows to end the first quarter with BC up 14-17. Harris and Benjamin then went nuts, allowing Miami to pull away and blow out BC. The defense was strong today forcing 3 turnovers (2 INT, 1 FR).

Miami is now 3-1 (2-0) and are expected to beat down Duke in Week 5.

    Harris earned POTG honors with 27/40, 443yds, 2 TD, 1 car, 1yd, 1 TD

Green also dominated on defense again with 10 Tackles

    FSU 42
    Duke 30

Duke came to play, but they just didnt have enough to overtake FSU. Jermaine Thomas had a solid game with 94 rushing yards and a pair of TD's. The Seminole D added a pair of defensive TD's. The problem with the secondary continued despite the pair of pick 6's. Duke's QB Renfree went for 362 yards in the air. It may be time to shake up the depth chart.

    Penn State 34
    Illinois 17

This game was a little closer than expected, thanks to a sloppy game from Newsome. He turned it over 3 times inside the 10 yard line. The first came on a red zone pick that cost the Nittany Lions at least 3 points. The next turnover came on a long run in the fourth quarter that could have been a TD. He dived for the end zone but lost the ball at the 1-yard line. He fumbled again at the 1-yard line on an option play at the goal line. Setting aside turnovers he had a solid game, passing for 334 yards and rushing for 104. Green added 109 yards and 2 TD on the ground. As for the receiving core the leader was 5'7 Smith with 8 catches 108 yards and a TD. Six other receivers caught passes in this game.

The defense struggled against Illinois HB LeShoure, especially early in the game. He finished with 138 yards on 22 carries, including a 34 yard TD in first quarter. The rest of the Illini struggled thanks to pressure from Penn State's defense. Stanley had 2 sacks and Stupar added a sack. Stupar also added a pick in the game.

Next up for Penn State is a rivalry game against Ohio State. Penn State will need to play much better football to win that match.

Offensive Player of the Game: Green 19 carries 109 yards 2 TD

Defensive Player of the Game: Stupar 6 tackles (4 solo, 2 atk) 2 tackles for loss 1 sack 1 interception

"USC got the offense ROLLING in this one with near perfect play from QB Matt Barkley who went 13/15, for 217 yards and 2 TDs. His passer rating was well over 200. HB Baxter also had another big game going for 140 yards and 2 TDs. The defense added a pick 6 late in the game to seal up the deal. The starters were sent to the bench at the end of the 3rd QTR. USC moves to 5-0 and holds on to their number 1 ranking.

Hova after the game: "The offense is rolling right now, I am happy to see Barkley put up numbers out there after his early struggles. The defense is stout as always... If the offense can keep up this level of play who knows what the future may bring us."
